  All the staff were very helpful and the receptionists all spoke good Enlgish. The rooms were comfortable, clean and serviced every morning. Parking is available on site but it is in a restricted space so it's better to let the hotel know in advance that you need it. The location is very close to the centre of Auxerre, with over 20 restaurants to choose from for evening meals. The hotel breakfast is not cooked, but it is nevertheless as substantial as you want to make it (and the coffee's good too). We would stay there again - it's an ideal base for touring the Chablis area by car.

  Maybe the hotel could have done with a larger bar area (especially when the business travellers arrive) but this is only a very minor point.

  Lumpy uncomfortable pillows, spot lights outside the hotel shone through curtains all night and highlighted the dead insects outside the window. A huge cobweb was hanging from the ceiling in our room. We asked rception where the restaurants were in town but she would only tell us about the hotels restaurant next door. The breakfast buffet looked poor for €12 so we didn't eat there.

  Nice French hotel with handy little lift to save walking up the stairs

  Disappointed we couldn't find any tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

  Great location overlooking river Yonne. Parking on site. Lovely building. Reception staff excellent, helpful & friendly

  Staff at breakfast not attentive nor helpful to guests.(they hid in kitchen while guests had no cups or dishes!) Breakfast not good value. Poor choice

  Good, easy to access onsite car parking that suited a larger car. Friendly staff, pleasant room and a good location overlooking the canal. A proper shower that was actually large enough to turn around in.

  A lovely setting, right on the river bank. Hotel has all the amenities, including, unusual for Europe, a mini-bar. Room spacious and interesting. Staff especialy gracious.

  Very accommodating, changing the stay date owing to illness. Helpful and charming staff and a wonderful location. Would certainly stay again.

  Beds were a little worn out and slanted to one side. I had to put towels under the slanted side.

  Hotel looked old from the outside but the rooms were quite comfortable. Even though I had a roadside window, the soundproofing was quite good with double windows. Breakfast was excellent. Was able to garage car for a small sum while I visited Paris.

  Was further from the train station than it looked on the map. Occasional banging of doors from adjacent rooms.
