July 18, 2011The location was brilliant, it is right on the mainstreet in Portrush in the middle of everything. The price for the room we were in was very reasonable. The room was comfortable and provided everything we wanted. The staff were friendly and left you to your own devises but were there if you needed them. The breakfast was lovely. There was a wide variety to choice from and the Full English Breakfast was very satisfying. I would definitely visit Albany Lodge again.

October 29, 2011The view from our suite was amazing. The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding area was superb with glorious beaches, coves and rugged coastline with lots to do and see. There was no car park but we did not have a problem finding safe parking nearby. There were lovely Bistros and cafes nearby with a good menu choice. Local shops in the little town for anything you might need.We would not hesitate to come back. An earring that I mislaid in the room was found and returned to my home address before I got home. Thank you!!!!
There was nothing about Albany Lodge that we didn't like. The only improvement that we could suggest is that the room fridge was quite noisy and did wake us up a couple of times each night. I think we would have preferred to not have it and I am sure that had we asked the owner would have taken it out as he was soooo helpful but it was not so bad that we felt compelled to ask him.

September 27, 2011Clean, friendly, wish spectacular views, I can't say a negative thing about Albany Lodge! Although we didn't take part in the breakfasts (it was one of those vacations where sleeping in won out over food), we appreciated the gesture. Staff was incredibly friendly and always available to help with advice or questions, and the location can't be beat. We did a day trip to Dunluce Castle, the Causeway, and Bushmills and were home with time for dinner and relaxing. Great food options just across the street and cafes all over town. I'd venture to say that we got lucky with our time of the year (off season), as there were plenty of people around but no swarms of tourists or big crowds.
I would say that some people might find the parking situation problematic, but we parked at the free car park that's just a few blocks away and found it to be no problem at all.

September 19, 2011Home away from home feeling!!!
The hotel is at the very center of town close to everyting : the bitch, public transportation, and shops. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, helpful with little tips about the erea (trips, resturants, cafe's) the room is very spacious, spotlessly clean with complimentry water and snacks. All in all a very positive experience. Loved the place!

September 7, 2011The View - its was as good as its gets - weather just ok on our visit bit cold and wet but to hear waves crashing in was very peaceful and when sun did shine it was a very serene looking out over the Atlantic ocean. The owners very helpful and friendly The service - breakfast was exceptionally good - served up not a buffet The room - very spacious - very clean and homely. - one tiny drawback -bed a bit too hard and thought the four poster bed we had would have drapes around it as in photograph The Location - very well situated for all amenities The Price - thought it was a bit expensive for two nights - but it was Airshow weekend - Overall opinion - would definetly stay again on special ocasions

August 30, 2011Albany Lodge is a guest house situated in a central location in Portrush. We had a great weekend here. The rooms are clean and equipped with included tea/coffee, snacks and water. There is also a fridge, safe, hairdryer, ironing board and well equipped bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean and a brilliant breakfast served. We will go back to the Albany. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend a stay in the Albany.
Due to stairs probably not really suitable for people with mobility problems. Just check what room you would be located, with owner before booking.
