At the edge of the Lake District, this family-run hotel combines 19th century oak-beamed charm with 21st century amenities, and offers the ideal base for exploring the Lake District.
Barrow-in-Furness is just 15 minutes from the Lake District, is close to South Lakes Wildlife Park (the top tourist destination in the Lake District), Furness Abbey, Piel Island and other tourist attractions. And, as the ‘indoor centre for the Lakes’, there’s plenty to do if you’re unlucky with the weather. If you want to go out in the evening, you will find a multiplex cinema, a bowling alley and numerous restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.
The hotel itself has 17 en suite, well-appointed bedrooms. Each room has a flat-screen TV with around 150 channels and Wi-Fi internet access.

Friendly staff good food but due to reason for being in the area and timing of other thgings we basicly checked in and went out again came back had a meal and went to the room next morning we had breakfast then checked out so unfair to make to many comments
