  Very good - however I think that £55 for a stay without breakfast was a bit steep.

  Debbie, the receptionist was cheerful and extremely helpful - she provided us with an extra pillow and teabags. She also looked after my Parkinson's drugs in the fridge for me. She was a shining example of good hospitality.

  Next door eating establishment - during breakfast we had to ask if the Manager's son would please stop racing through the pub on his scooter.

  Although we found the accommodation to be of a high standard, unfortunately our enjoyment was marred by poor weather.

  The landlady provided a high of accommodation, and the food was excellent. The premises were very clean and furnished to a good standard.

  We found the internet booking procedure confusing and inefficient. With hindsight we would have preferred to deal directly with the hotel, rather than receive communications from both Active Hotels and the hotel.
