November 6, 2011The double bed was small, mattress was hard and pillows thin. The noisy air con kept us awake, but was ineffective. Despite being on the 10th floor the noise from the dlr was considerable, and trains started running very early in the morning. Consequently a poor nights sleep. Would not stay here again..

May 28, 2011I booked a double room but when I arrived at the hotel no room were available for me!... I booked a room at 600GBP/night and I assume that at this price I should receive a 4 stars treatment! After a discussion with the reception staff they finally give me a penthouse double room... the room was overlooking the DLR and was very noisy!... I won't book again with this hotel as it doesn't worth its ranking of 4 stars hotel at all!! the furnitures and the lifts are very tired... Not happy at all with this stay at this hotel, I wont recommend it!!

December 8, 2011It was a very very nice room at the 11th floor, with 3 elevators in the hall. Panoramic views to the Dockland's high buildings from the room's wide window. The buffet breakfast was tasteful, and luxury, all you can eat. (Tipical English breakfast foods, hot and cold meal, and fruits, salads, aromatic coffe, tee, milk etc. Every days room cleaning with new towels and refill the cofee and tee kit. Qween size comfortable double bed with good quality mattress. Flat screen tv, big mirror opposit the bed. Staff always smiling :) and helpful.
We had to pay for parking, it was very expensive/day, and was a poor little garage under the building, without any pedestrian ramp or lift. Climate was not able to set manually, there was very hot in the room. The price of swimming pool and gim were not included, we had to pay extra.

November 30, 2011Good location near to Canary Wharf and the dlr.
I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel. Single centrally controlled heating for the entire hotel means that no rooms can be controlled by the occupier. No air-conditioning at all and no opening windows. Thus, rooms at a stifling 25-28 degrees centigrade with no facility to cool down. Absolutely awful - made me feel ill the whole time I was in there. Hotel management or maintenance unable to do anything. "Cooling beams" not working with no expectation to complete the work. There is no way I would come here again as it was the most unpleasant stay at a hotel that I have ever had.

November 29, 2011Large room. Good views.
Staff very unfriendly, rude and inattentive. Furnishing very dated. Hotel did not have our booking under my name. I had to retrieve the booking.com e-mail to prove my booking. They were not very friendly about it.

November 26, 2011Concierge was quite knowledgeable
Big rips in the wall paper, the hot and cold labels were taken off the taps, exposing the screws, and the heating never worked. I called housekeeping one day, and was told "The heat is turned off after 9:00am". I asserted the heat had never been on at all. No response. Next night, I called the desk and explained the problem- was told 'someone would come look at it'. The never did. My stay was in late November.

November 9, 2011We were upgraded to an executive room. The spa bath was excellent! Staff were very polite but I get the impression they constantly had to appease their guests due to the steady stream of complaints. Stunning view from our room though!
The hotel claims to have spa facilities. Complete fabrication! The facilities are in a different site across the road! Steam room did not work properly. Lack of choice for breakfast. I'm not vegetarian but I felt sorry for anyone who was. Cold toast is just left in a container for guests to help themselves (Is that normal?) Very average dinner options.

November 2, 2011Hotel is just ok, good housekeeping, good location, room size is good.
Restaurants dont offer a good variety but thats not such an issue in London. I wasnt able to locate a folded suit cover and when I reported that to the hotel, the duty manager was very rude in his response. I can't believe they have appointed such a person in the hospitality industry. It is for this reason that I would neither get back to this hotel again nor would recommend this to anyone.

October 3, 2011The location of this hotel is perfect if you are visiting central London, as the tube station is within walking distance. The views from the bar over Canary Wharf are second to none. The rooms are spacious.
Bed was particularly uncomfortable and as room was at the back of the building, the early morning tubes rumbled past, creating a lot of noise. Noise is not a problem from rooms located at the front of the building however, as we have stayed in those previously and it is particularly quiet.

January 30, 2012Staff is very helpful. If there's something wrong with the room, you might get a free upgrade to a room of better class for free! (I got it 3 times!) Location will be good for those, who work at Canary Wharf.
All furniture is ancient. All rooms are equipped with glass-covered tables, on which computer mouse doesn't work. (but you might get a mouse pad from reception, if you ask nicely:)) By default they will fill your room with bad smelling cheap air-freshener. You need to ask staff not to do it! The WiFi quality is very random. In some rooms it's good, in some it's very weak. You might change a couple of rooms before you get a good WiFi. The windows can not be opened or closed without calling staff. In some rooms even the staff can not open them, because they are sealed. Conditioner only works for heat, making room temperature raise incredibly hot! I was placed in a room with facilities for disabled people (although I didn't need such facilities), which made me feel sad every time I looked at these facilities. If staying for business, I would not recommend this hotel, as it is impossible to work in the room. If staying for city trip, it's very far from the city center, so I would not recommend it either.
