This Victorian railway hotel is in the town centre, opposite Huddersfield Rail Station and 0.75 miles from Galpharm Stadium. It has free parking and the UK’s only Rugby League museum.
The George Hotel was built in 1851 and has original features and traditional charm. In 1895, it hosted the meeting that founded Rugby League.
The en suite rooms have TVs, trouser presses, hairdryers and tea/coffee.
The St George's Restaurant has many period features and serves traditional English dishes and Yorkshire specialities.
The George Hotel also has a traditional lounge, 24-hour room service and Stevo's Bar, which offers light snacks and bar meals.
