Alarm spoiled it.
Central location.
Fire alarm went off at midnight to general staff confusion. Caused, I believe by a candle in the bar. Staff slow to respond. Did not ensure hotel evacuation, woman with children stayed in room on our floor. It would seem the response was disproportionate to a candle setting off the alarm. Slow to tell us to go back to the room, and no explanation given until I asked for one.
