The California Hotel is located in the Central London, 100 metres from Kings Cross and St Pancras International Station. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and traditional English breakfasts.

  Good hotel, good Location-

  Cleanliness. Really near from the next Underground station or the St. Pancreas Railstation, good for travallers with the train or from the Airport Luton.

  Air Freshener in the Corridors aren't really nice! It was to much, so it stank.

  It was situated in a great distrcit and extremely closre to transport amenities and shops which helped. The room had too many downpoints for us to have considered it a pleasureable stay.

  The breakfst was fabulous, great value for money. The only redeeming point unfortunately.

  The room had no curtains or blinds so when the sun came upnaround 4am we struglled greatly to sleep. 3 of the 4 plug soclets in the room dint workbut the staff must have been aware of this as they handed us multisockets tso we could charge bith our phones at the same time. The beds were 2 singles pushed together which is absolutely fine but you cant across onto the other one without almost falling down the middle. There was an alarm clock by the bed that was broken and kept flashing all night-we put it under the bed eventually. Also the bathroom window is purposely kept ajar with a metal lead which during windy times can be slightly annoying, again keeping us awake.

  The hotel is not exactly situated in one of the nicer areas of London however the owners have made an effort by displaying hanging baskets outside and the public areas inside are very clean and well-kept. The staff on the front desk are very helpful and pleasant. After reading some of the reviews on here I was expecting the worst so am delighted to say we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. I will definitely stay here again before catching the Eurostar.

  This hotel is ideally situated for the Eurostar, and also for taking the tube into central London. We stayed in a family room for 6 in the basement and although it needs some refurbishing (bleach spills on carpet, damaged artwork on wall, punch-mark on door) it was spacious and, most important of all, spotlessly clean.

  The noise of the trains early in the morning - however that is because of the area and hardly the fault of the hotel! Anyone reading this please take note that there are no toiletries provided which is not a problem for me as I always prefer to use my own but it means there is also no handsoap to use at the sink. Also no hairdryer or sanitory bags in bathroom.
