Overall my stay at the Carlton was more or less as I expected. The hotel itself is old,but the rooms were clean and functional and more than adequate for the duration & purpose of my visit.
The staff were polite & attentive at all times. Breakfast was served from 07:30 which allowed me to get a couple of earlish starts for some of my planned days out. The service was excellent as there was very little waiting time from the order being taken & the food being served. I was also fortunate to have a room with a view over the Leas and out to sea which was most pleasant.
The Car park not very big based on the number of rooms in the hotel,fortunately most of the other guests were on coach tours so this wasn't a problem this time.
