January 10, 2012This hotel is overpriced for what it is. Stayed in an excecutive room that had basic bathroom. The shower was always cold, when telling staff about it they didn't care! The room was not cleaned properly and breakfast was burnt and cheap. This hotel was probably once very nice but, has become a profit making business with no customer care or satisfaction in mind!

October 25, 2011Surroundings & general ambience.
Bedroom was very dissapointing & bed was far below standard for a hotel of this stature & room of this price. Double room but only one comfortable chair. Dining table too small. Just a general dissapointment after such pleasant surroundings & excellent food.

September 22, 2011The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was in lovely grounds and a good location to local attractions.
The bathroom needed maintaining there was some mould on the shower rail, and the shower did not work properly. The breakfast we ordered on room service was incorrect on 2 occasions out of 3.

September 9, 2011The grandeur, though I stayed in the cottage so didn't get to see that carried through as it was separate from the mansion

September 4, 2011Our room was called the Biblioteque and was an executive room. Lots of room and comfortable. Big bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the waitress was super efficient. Hot breakfast was cooked to order and very good. It was nice to see fresh grapefruit on the menu. Evening meal was also very good but wine a little overpriced. Overall a good experience.

July 5, 2011The staff were excellent - very friendly and efficient. The grounds were beautiful. We ate breakfast there on two mornings and it was good.
Chilston Park is one of those places which looks very impressive as you pull up in the car but once you get to your room it is very disappointing. (Obviously I can only comment on the rooms we stayed in, maybe we were unlucky). The public rooms, for example the dining room where we ate breakfast, are splendid, but the rooms (of which we saw two as we had to be moved) are in need of some tlc.

June 30, 2011Excellent location, beautiful manor. Lovely room
We went to the local pub for dinner, which is cousier and not as pricy, one glass of wine is over 7 pounds. Hotel needs to check why people go elsewhere for dinner.

June 17, 2011The restaurant and lounges of this hotel are beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by a lovely garden. The breakfast was good.
The hotel is situated right next to the m20 so that you can hear the cars driving past when you are sitting in the beautiful garden. The furniture in our room was quite old and a bit shabby. The service in the restaurant was incredibly slow. On the weekend we had to wait up to 45 minutes to be served some tea and toast.

June 15, 2011We went for our 5 year anniversary and we wanted to spend abit more money to get some luxury. Chilston Park certainly was very luxurious and the staff were very helpful and informative. when we were leaving to spend the day at leed castle the receptionist (Crystal) helped us to get the opening times and gave us some money off vouchers which i found to be a nice added extra. The meal in the evening was lovely, the pigeon for the main was cooked to perfection. Overall our weekend was exactly what we was expecting and a lovely was to spend our anniversary.

May 23, 2011The staff were very welcoming, polite, friendly & helpful. The food was fantastic, a real treat. The huge grounds were great to walk around and there were places to visit nearby by car, Leeds Castle & Canterbury Cathedral to mention a couple of places.

April 26, 2011The hotel itself is a beautiful mansion house and outbuildings with richly decorated public areas. It is situated beside a lake in a countryside location which is pleasant.
Walking in one direction I had to stop because the lake had flooded the road. The price per room of 100 pounds seemed unfair for what I considered to be a 2-3 star room inside a 4 star hotel. I was there for a wedding and the best rate they offered the guests was more than inline prices! Criminal. The important things were good such as the bed and the bathroom but no minibar swimming pool or gym. Drab decor and quirkiness made the room feel poor value. The Staff buckled under pressure at breakfast which was totally shambolic. They did not know who was arriving and leaving, settings were not refreshed quickly enough, orders were missed or late, the toast came out cold..the list goes on.
