June 27, 2011Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is has lots of character, nothing like the big chain hotels. Would recommend.

February 1, 2011Excellent friendly staff throughout. Great value. Good food. Excellent relaxed (not rowdy) friendly atmosphere in hotel bar. Breakfast included in price and again very good. Would return again with no hesitation.
If I had to criticise anything it would be that the walls between our room and the neighbouring one was a bit thin & i could plainly hear another couple talking. Meal portions were just about right, though could have done with a few more chips with my steak ;)

January 24, 2011The warm greeting we always receive from thre receptionist and the excellent service in the restaurant. It is a tribute to the hotel managment that staff remain with them for so long.
We were disappointed to return from the theatre at 10.50pm to find the bar closed and the lack of opportunity to have a night cap, especially as this was a Friday.

May 9, 2011The waiter was incredibly courteous and charming. The receptionist who checked us out was very apologetic about our experiences.
Our room was unfortunately very small and the bathroom rather dirty. It was unfortunate that a pair of elephants with very loud laughs who wanted to party until 3am were in the room above us. The sound proofing could be improved. The food was not as good as we had hoped of a 2 rosette restaurant.
