The 200 year old building, formally the shooting lodge to Gunton Hall has been lovingly preserved by its local owners, and runs as a country house hotel offering 11 individual bedrooms and a delightful restaurant which has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes. The rooms have full modern facilities, while the restaurant offers high quality local produce.

The Restaurant enjoys a strong following of non-resident clients who appreciate the wide variety of seasonal and A la carte menus all representing excellent value in quality and service.
The local areas surrounding the hotel contains a wealth of places to visit. To mention a few which includes:- Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, both National Trust properties.The local seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer, the now famous bijon town of Holt with its galleries and local interest shops both designer and traditional.
The Conservation area of the rugged Norfolk coast line from Sheringham right round to Kings Lynn with its abundance of wild life and bird sanctuaries.
The Broadland areas of Wroxham and Horning picturesque with their beautiful waterways lined with waterside homes and full of slow moving water way boat craft.
The historic town of Wells on Sea and Blakeney being points on the coast line with a wealth of locally produced arts and crafts of quality . The quiet roads and lanes are perfect for touring the area either by car or bicycle for the more energetic . There are numerous walks within easy reach of the hotel and many beautiful local gardens to visit. There is a choice of A la carte, Table d Hote or the extremely popular seasonal menus, the latter representing excellent value for money with no compromise on quality. Guests usually have the choice of the Restaurant or the Conservatory for dining, however the Conservatory is usually dedicated to Breakfast and Lunches. Vegetarians and special dietary requirements are happily catered for.
