We had a very good time in Edinburgh and enjoyed our stay which was a 3night break Tues to Fri.
The staff were exellent and food very good
We were disappointed with the manner in which the room had been upgraded due mainly to the increased area taken up by the bathing facilities. We were of the opinion that this resulted in a reduction in the "living Area " of the room which gave the effect of being cramped for space, Also the glazed area results in a lack of privacy when utilising the toilet facilities. This was compounded by the fact that the hinged door could not be closed fully on the toilet due to being out of true. Shortly after our arrival we were asked when passing reception if we were pleased with our room we said that we were not but would return later to explain why. However, we were enjoying our stay too much to bother and so did not . We realise that our view may not be shared by others and is our personal impression of what we found.
