Grade II Listed Grim's Dyke Hotel boasts a grand entrance hall and traditional Library Bar, with a huge fireplace. This is where Sir William Gilbert, of Gilbert and Sullivan, wrote many of his most famous works.

Good but not excellent. Above lead to us eating outside the hotel. We have stayed at hotels around the world and friendly staff make a big difference.
Lovely building in a lovely setting. Room excellent. Good access.
Food overpriced for the standard. Continental breakfast very poor. Showerhead very dirty and bathroom extractor not working. Generally the staff less than friendly (largely a language problem).
