Set in spectacular grounds and gardens, this traditional English country house is ideally situated just 3 miles away from the historic city centre of Durham.
A former 16th century residential estate, Hallgarth Manor Hotel has been carefully refurbished to offer all modern facilities whilst still retaining many of its original features. Free Wi-Fi internet is now available throughout the entire hotel.
The hotel is noted for the excellence of its food served in the Elemore Restaurant. Bar meals are also served in the Cocktail Bar, which overlooks the gardens, or you can enjoy a good selection of traditional ales in the Tavern Bar. Sunday Lunch carvery is served in the Cathedral Suite.
Golfing at a nearby hotel can be arranged on request.

Good value and lovely setting.
Charming country hotel. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and the bathroom a good size. The beds were comfy. Everything worked.
Rooms are a little tired but if you want a modern box you wouldn't book here anyway.
