Originally built in the early 1900's as a private house, Higher Trapp has been magnificently converted into a country hotel with 29 tastefully decorated bedrooms, 2 function rooms and a locally renowned restaurant.
An ideal base for countryside walks, the hotel is also just 5 minutes from junction 8 of the M65, and a short drive from Manchester’s city centre, making it an ideal choice for both business and pleasure.

The hotel could and should be a lovely place to stay with beautiful surroundings, The only change I would make, would be to sack the chef!
Staff very friendly.
Had evening meal at hotel 1st night - chilli con carne which smelt and tasted of curry also looked like had been cooked quite a while ago? Breakfast 1st morning , we were served toast with quite large qty of mould on it! Breakfast 2nd morning there was no clean table to sit on and had to wait nearly 20mins for one to be cleared so that we could have breakfast (needless to say we didn't bother ordering toast !)
