January 9, 2012Lovely Executive room with two easy chairs and bathroom with double basin & separate shower cubicle and bath. Helpful, friendly staff and excellent value for money.
One hour free broadband was limited to one person in the room. Presumably, if we had paid for broadband, the same would have applied? Why not offer free broadband?

January 9, 2012Price, at & £85 per night it's good value.
I took my own cork screw, on returning to the room for the 2nd night the cork screw had been taken by the cleaning staff & couldn't be found. Surely cleaning staff would ascertain whether the cork screw was hotel property before taking it ?

December 19, 2011The room was very spacious, with a large bed & bathroom. There was free fruit & Mineral water available with great tea & coffee facilities. The room was tidy and very 'oldy worldy' (we stayed in the Anne of Cleves Room) There was plenty of staff to help out when we first arrived. The hotel is located close to the M25, however, its far enough away to avoid any traffic noise.
The old bedrooms did not hold up well to other noise. There was a christmas party/carol concert quite close to our room and I almost felt I was there! Anyone coming up the steps towards the other rooms in the area also felt like they were coming into our room. At breakfast, service was quite slow and the continential buffet was a bit bare (we came towards the end of the service). The size of the english breakfast was not worth the £10 paid [£15 if you paid at the time])

December 13, 2011Close to m25 but not near enough to hear the traffic. Greeted by friendly staff and room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and service excellent. Thge deal we received was amazing for a 4* hotel. We were asked to pay on day of booking but when previously using Booking.com we have not settled the account until departure.

December 12, 2011Full of character, friendly, good location, excellent staff, very nice room (21), comfortable.
The bed was a bit small (we're used to super king size bed), and young people came back to their room at 2 or 3 in the morning next door, and made a huge amount of noise - particularly loud closing of doors - again and again. Every time we dropped off, there was another loud bang.... Doors need to be on slow closers.

November 30, 2011Breakfast very poor, served cold, bacon looked like it had been reheated. Much better when cooked to order rather than out of tureens on table.

November 2, 2011We stayed for two nights to visit family nearby. The staff were more than helpful and friendly. Our room was excellent, cleaned beautifully while we were there. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The service in the restaurant was first class - we really enjoyed our meals there. But of all the lovely food - the scrambled egg was to die for! Despite the fact the hotel is on a main road the room was very quiet. Very pretty gardens and an extremely comfortable lounge area. We will certainly go back.

September 28, 2011We like peace and quiet and we usually get it here.
We are not breakfast people, a cup of tea and coffee and a slice of toast normally suffices, there only seemed to be a full "English" which we don't" do. If there was a "Continental" available it was not very apparent.

September 28, 2011Staff were very friendly from the beginning of our stay to the end. The hotel looks small when you first arrive from the outside but once you set foot inside, it is like going into another world. The food was to die for! We attended a wedding and really enjoyed it. The detail for the wedding was next to none and the rooms we stayed in were overlooking the garden. What a nice sight to wake up to in the morning.
A little bit out of town. Maybe a 15 minute walk

The food was incredible and the decor of the entire hotel was beautiful.
It was very expensive. We got an excellent deal through Booking.com but going direct with the hotel is very overpriced.
