I was expecting a terrible stay as reviews from Wikipedia were terrible but I would definitely come again and would not hesitate to bring my young children too.
Large room, clean linen and ensuite, excellent shower pressure, good breakfast, staff all polite and helpful.
Some window upgrading needed eg ours had peeling paint and mouldy frames and the glass was not too clean
