March 28, 2011Ok for an overnight stay, just make sure there isnt an event at the hotel at the same time.
Late checkin and good breakfast
The freeview on the tv didn't work, there was a very loud party going on and with singleglazing there was no chance of sleeping until midnight when the party had finished.

March 28, 2011This could be such a nice hotel. It is a beautiful wedding venue with fabulous grounds but, unless you are invited to the wedding expect to be kept in a different part of the hotel. Travel lodge type accommodation block is unattractive, uninviting and very basic and the breakfast is mediocre.A Shame because with a little more attention to the rooms this could be a really nice place to stay.
Reception staff were very keen to solve the problems we had and were very pleasant and helpful.. Upgraded to superior room to compensate. Beautiful venue for weddings. Well kept grounds
Unattractive accommodation block round the rear of house Not even a view of the beautiful house Room not thoroughly cleaned and faulty toilet cistern in original room.Very tiny room. In upgraded room mould on windows and blind.Uncontrollable heating meant we had to open windows to regulate temperature and suffer the noise of disco and returning revelers from wedding which, with windows closed, would not have been a problem. No drawers or desk. Wires coming through wall instead of finished sockets.

March 19, 2011Several small and relatively insignificant negatives. Hotel acceptable overall.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful location.
Door lock didn't work properly causing delay in entering and exiting room. No hair drier in room (22) although one was provided when requested. Skirting board missing in part and loose in another part of the bathroom. Room quite cold 17.5 degrees at 7 am. No hot water in shower although bath and basin fine. Food cold and unpleasant although service good.

April 27, 2011The wedding was beautifully arranged and the grounds and setting were amazing. The hotel was spotless and the reception staff were very friendly.
The waiting staff at the reception were not quite as friendly and seemed to have a bit of an attitude if asked for anything. We stayed an extra night after the wedding and were disappointed that the only food available at the hotel was 'lite bites' as there was another wedding on. Being Easter Sunday, very little was open in the town, so we had nowhere to eat. We chose to stay in the room instead, but were unable to watch the tv as there was very bad reception. We decided to leave and go home at 10.30 on the evening as we were hungry and bored.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay would use again if prices competitive
Friendly staff, clean facilities, superb surroundings and gardens
Fresh coffee / tea served rather than canteens would have improved the breakfast
