January 20, 2012Big car park but probably this was due to the fact the hotel is so dire no one stays there but the staff were friendly.
Everything, room was very tired, no bed side lights, carpet clean but very old, bed very hard, no milk, one bath towel (very worn) between two. Wine list was red, white or pink but 'sorry we haven't got any" poor food (processes chicken in what appeared to be batter?) This place needs some serious investment. When I read the reviews after I had booked I thought I can't be that bad - how wrong I was.... And no wi-fi either

September 14, 2011Distance from Melton where we had a wedding to attend. Staff were pleasant.
Room administration as the wrong room allocated initially, we booked the bridal suite and were given a standard double. Insufficient towels were in the room as only one towel in the room which was a double for 2. The room was in need of maintainable, the curtains came off the runner in the bathroom. Limited breakfast facilities. Corridors smelt of smoke. In need of decoration throughout.

September 6, 2011We travelled up to Liecestershire wanting a hotel for the night near Melton Mowbray. Albeit the otherside of the town. However we managed to get a room at this hotel. So I booked it. Then I read the 'reviews'... seriously considered cancelling! but there really wasn't any thing else around for the night we needed. We went to the hotel after midnight were greeted warmly by the night receptionist and then went to our room. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and it was all we needed. Yes it does need a lick of paint and a bit of love but for the money it was good. When I got home and unpacked my things realised my wedding ring wasn't with my other jewellery so I rang the hotel and explained where I had taken it off. The receptionist went straight to the room then rang me back and said she had found it! I was so relieved as it is a disigner ring and irreplaceable. They are sending it down recorded delivery to my house. That is what I call service!
The shower had no pressure at all so had a bath instead. It would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast but that facility isn't there over a weekend.

August 16, 2011Convenient location, friendly staff, good rooms
I found the pillows very hard! I couldn.t get my shower to work. I was near to the fire door which made it very noisy at bedtime as people were coming up after the party- not the fault of the hotel of course.

August 2, 2011They accept pets. Nightporter Mick very helpful, friendly, good customer service
The receptionist was covering various duties, we went to get a drink at the bar, but couldnt get what we wanted because she hadnt been trained on how to change barrels for draught drinks, and had no idea where the wine was.Lack of management on duty, and staff training. No food available the nearest village is a good distance away, and the shop was shut.

August 2, 2011The staff were pretty decent. When we asked for an Iron and takeaway menus they got them for us pretty fast.
I did not like the fact that the bed was harder than an ironing board, the pictures on the advertisement showed 4poster bed & flatscreen TVs etc, I got a little Beko Tv, 15" and a horrific bed. The shower/bath did not dispense cold water and the toilet did not flush correctly.
