The hotel is built in Scottish Baronial-style and has elaborate carvings throughout the hall, open fires, a minstrel's gallery and a barrel roof with original stained glass windows.

Beautiful countryside surrounds the hotel where wildlife, including deer, sheep and cows, roam free. The hotel is not under any flightpaths.

Originally built as a family home in 1881, to the exacting requirements of Mr William Young, a Scottish landowner and marine underwriter with Lloyds of London, the house displays many unique original features including a barrel roof with original stained glass windows depicting the family coat of arms.

The hotel is licensed for up to 300 people for civil ceremonies and up to 220 for Wedding Breakfasts. All events can be adjusted to suit your individual needs.
