Under New English Management (August 2007). A good old fashioned English welcome awaits you at The Asteria (Star Europa) Hotel. Located in the heart of the recently face lifted Marine Parade looking on to the golden sandy beach and glittering sea!
Excellent views of the pier and sea front can be seen from all our front rooms. We offer basic facilities in all our family rooms such as tea/coffee a TV (some with Freeview), wash basin, hair dryer & radio/alarm clock. Most have a toilet and shower/bath in the room with 3 rooms sharing a shower facility. All family rooms have a double bed (some 4 poster beds) with bunk beds which in total accomodate up to 4 per room.
We are a non smoking family oriented hotel and have full internet facilities for all in the 'Surfers Paradise' cafe situated in the basement open to the public from 10.30am until 10pm and is where the inclusive Continental breakfast is served! A full English breakfast can also be ordered in advance each day for our guests at just £2.95. Sandwiches/burgers, drinks & snacks are served throughout the day. The Internet is free for Hotel guests until 10am and after 10pm with a great discount available for use during your total stay! There are music DVDs with a 60s/70s & 80's classic theme and large screen TV for all in the Surfers Paradise with games/playstation & activities for kids and adults to enjoy! For those needing transport to and from the airport/train or bus station then we will try to collect you in our modern Stretched Limousine which offers Limo Tours to holidaymakers and locals and is available as cheap as a taxi to our guests!! (subject to availablity).
There is a Restaurant on the ground floor of the Hotel which is very reasonable offering all cuisines and is licensed and is currently run independent of the hotel.

By the way...we agreed with all of the horrendous customer feed back made prior to us taking over this potentially great venue...and we are doing our best to improve all during the peak period....a clean throughout has already been done which took 2 weeks! Please take that into account when making your decision and everything is now heading in the direction you would clearly want us to go...job being done!
