The Crown Inn is in the village of Playhatch, between the Thames and the Chiltern Hills. Reading Rail Station is 3 miles (5 km) away.
The Crown is known for its modern British food. There is a traditional country bar, the oak-beamed main restaurant, a restored 18th-century barn and a more modern conservatory.
The stylish en suite rooms are in the quiet residents' gardens and have private, covered terraces with views of the gardens.

The Crown Inn
We would certainly recommend The Crown Inn and the staff.The breakfast waitress was particularly helpful. The pub is an excellent place to stay if you want to be near to Reading or Henley.
This was an excellent friendly establishment.Food was good, staff were friendly & approachable.The hotel was situated near to where we wanted to be.The grounds were well kept, everywhere was clean, the carpark was safe & well marked out.The rooms were separated from main building & it was good to have a private patio area with wooden table and two chairs. There was also no rowdiness.
