Situated in the most picturesque street in the market town of Ross-on-Wye, this 14th century inn maintains many of its original features, including oak beams and a large stone fireplace.
Located on either the first or second floor, all rooms feature an en suite bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. Free mineral water is also provided, and rooms have a TV and ironing facilities. There is free parking available on site.
The restaurant is also open to non residents and is extremely popular in the local area. It features a 19 metre well as its centrepiece, and uses fresh market produce. The Kings Bar has a good range of single malts, wines and 2 local real ales.
A great location for exploring The Wye Valley, Black Mountains, Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat, the hotel is within a 40 minute drive of Cardiff and Cheltenham. Goodrich Castle, The Forest of Dean and The Welsh Marches are also easily accessible for day trips.

Enjoyed it, and would stay again. Helpful and accommodating staff from beginning to end. With a room overlooking the street one expects noise from outside, particularly if, like us, you like to have your window open. Nothing can be done about that though
Easy to find and park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good cuisine. Spacious and comfortable bed
The slightly uneven floor was amusing, particularly in the bathroom. The room upstairs was occupied and at night sounded like the occupants were walking through our room!
