Wedding receptions are held in the hotel's Georgian ballroom, which provides the perfect setting. This elegant room with its tall sash windows features a large dance floor, a stage, an adjacent cocktail bar and spacious banqueting seating for 130 guests.

Weddings with a literary theme can be held in the unique Georgian Theatre Royal, which is just around the corner from the hotel. Marry on stage with your guests as your audience then head back to the hotel for your reception. The Panelled Room is a private room, available for special occasions such as business meetings, luncheons, dinners and small parties. For functions and conferences, the ballroom seats 150 theatre-style, and there are smaller meeting rooms available.

Area information

There is plenty to see and do in and around Richmond. The town itself has a Norman castle, an abbey, 3 museums and the Georgian theatre royal, which is the oldest theatre in England where performances are still held in the original setting. The famous Black Sheep brewery, in the town of Masham, is a short distance away. Also nearby is Forbidden Corner, a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises created in a 4-acre garden in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
