Recently renovated with bright, modern furnishing, The Imperial Hotel was once a coaching inn and was built over 200 years ago. It still retains many period features throughout the hotel.
All rooms at The Imperial Hotel feature a private en suite bathroom, TV, hairdryer, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Full English breakfasts are available to guests each morning.

The Imperial Hotel
I was disappointed and would have been far more so, if I had paid the usual full price for my stay.
Bed was very comfy, bathroom shower very good.
Toilet seat poorly fitted, resulting in seat moving on sitting upon it. Breakfast was not so good, as the hot food was served way before cereal was eaten. Room very dark, requiring lights being on at all times (waste of energy!) Evening menu offered no alternative choice if you did not care for the Thai food offered. Having said that, the meal was good.
