March 21, 2011I booked a room in the castle itself but ended up in a room in the court yard, which is outside the castle, they class the castle and court yard as the same rooms, can be misleading.

November 9, 2011I loved the look of the castle, our room was very spacious and comfy, I liked the bar with the different areas, the patio and the choices for breakfast I was there for a wedding which was amazing, and the service was brilliant through out.
The lay out made it difficult for my elderly father to get around, the room had no bath, there was no lifts,

September 26, 2011The relaxed atmosphere, the grounds. The staff were welcoming, and we were on first name basis with alot of them. The food was superb, fabulous selection and choice difficult to choose from. Oscar the Irish Wolf Hound massive hit with both adults and children. The children spent most of the day outside playing, we felt safe letting the children run around. We will be back, and highly recommend the Castle to any one looking for a relaxing time, just walking the large grounds, spa, golf, or sitting out on the terrace.

June 20, 2011It fully lived up to the idea of what must be like to live in a castle. Our room opened up onto a garden court yard and the room service breakfast we had there was very memorable.

January 1, 2012enjoyed my stay however would have liked to have stayed in main building. Our accommodation was in the cottage appartments which I thought were expensive and located too far from main venue. Nice location, good food and pleasant staff.

November 14, 2011Staff were very friendly and efficient despite it being very busy for them as we were attending a large wedding. The cottages were very comfortable and clean and in a very peaceful setting with nice views with a lovely balcony. The food was to an excellent standard, the best I have had at a wedding and the room for the wedding meal was beautiful especially the lighting.

September 5, 2011This is a very beautiful catsle hotel. Although I stayed at the courtyard building and not the main building, I enjoyed nice atmosphere of the old catsle. The room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner was also very good and not expensive.
The flush toilet in my room didn't work well. (It worked well in my friend's room.)

September 2, 2011We had booked a countryard room, but we were accommondated into the castle - one of its beautify castle suite. Dinner was very good (fixed prices for two course menus) and they have nice selection of wines. Staff were very polite. Castle itself is very nice, and but unfortunately we didn't see or hear any ghost - even though there should be those.
The Ghosts (Sarah and her unborn child) did not appear :-(

August 29, 2011The staff were very good, very pleasent and charming, very quick check in at reception.... Stayed in one of the cottage room, very nice, clean and comfortable. The castle is beautiful, and the grounds are lovely.... Breakfast was good, plenty choose from, hot or cold..... Will be back.
The door to or bedroom, was of poor quality, shoddy worknanship, top of door cut to suit re fitting looked terrible........ This door is not atall suitable where four to six other people are using the same house..... one push and that door was open... not that i tried but long enough staying in hotels to know what could happen.... get a different carpenter to check it out .......

August 27, 2011Stayed for 2 nights for a friends wedding and had a fantasic experience, cabra castle is just amazing and the staff are just superb and just cannot do enough for you, would recommend the courtyard room rather than the cottages as a bit of a walk away, changed to courtyard for my 2nd night!. grounds are well kept and rooms are very comfy and modern, you can stay at any number of hotels but to say you have stayed at a castle is priceless. if your thinking about booking this place, let me decide (and i am fussy) book it, you wont be sorry......staff are just great!
Having to leave and go back to london!!!!!!!!!

August 24, 2011I loved your open fire which was lit on our arrival in august, it gives a lovely warm comforting feeling, and of course your Irish wolfhound which sits quietly looking magnificent.

Went to castle to celebrate 40th Birthday booked a twin room. Had hoped for a room in the castle was given a room out in courtyeard wasnt disappointed though it had two double beds very warm and nicely decorated. Went for dinner in the castle on friday evening could only describe it as the best steak dinner i have ever had the restaurant was really busy that evening and we made a last mnute booking easy to tell why the food was fantastic and desert was devine. Dinner maybe a little more expensive than the average retaurant but for a special occasion well worth the money. The following morning brillant breakfast buffet great fry up with something for everyone. What a beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting so glad i booked it will defiently go back as some stage.
