Local horse riding is a great way to enjoy the fresh country air and you can have a fun day at the races in either Thurles or Clonmel. Take a picnic and a boat trip on the Shannon from Killaloe. Drive along past the spectacular scenery and head up to the Vee, where the view will take your breath away. Here, you can stop for lunch in the popular heritage town of neighbouring Lismore.
