November 14, 2011The staff were very helpful. They gave me detailed information about the area and every time I emailed to ask something, I got a quick response. The hotel is very close to the cith centre/shopping area. The breakfast they served at the hotel restaurant (which is included in the price) is very good. The restaurant is open to 22:00 pm and they have an excellent open buffet salad bar. I highly recommend this hotel.

November 12, 2011Excellent value during off-peak by booking through booking.com. Staff were helpful in all aspects of service: restaurant recommendations, city orientation, other suggestions (such as grocery shopping). Location was very good. Very near to old part of city (walkable in 15 minutes) yet quiet with adequate parking; or walk 1 block to the bus. Grocery store nearby for lunch supplies. Good breakfast included in price of room. Very quiet. Lovely wool duvets. I understand they are usually fully booked during high season, so book early to enjoy a stay here.

September 29, 2011Helpful staff.A Pick up point for FlyBus so easy to access from Keflavik International. Also being picked up by tour companies.Although outside the city centre it is only a 15 minute walk. After the first couple of blocks you are walking along a street with really interesting small shops and bistros etc in pleasant surroundings. The hotel itself is quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable.I Slept well.

June 22, 2011Dorita at the desk went out of her way in such a nice way on our behalf - phoning several places, etc. Much appreciated.
Location on the the outskirts of town. Not a bad walk in the morning, but a little too far at the end of a long day.

January 22, 2012Clean, Warm, No noise, Friendly staff, coach pick up for excursions good value, excellent plentiful buffer breakfast, free wi fi internet - would have been good views of mountains from rooms at front of hotel but weather was poor during my stay
Its just alittle bit out of town which is not a problem in good weather and probably an advatage as there was no noise but I went In Januaray and all the roads leading from Hotel to edge of town very icy, slippery and dangerous making a 10 minute walk into town a 30 minute walk often having to walk in the road as the pavements were too dnagerous.

January 10, 2012All staffs I met were really kind and friendly! They helped me of booking tour, and phoned to the bus company for back to airport. furthermore, I was given great help. I had slept when the bus came, although I had to keep awake. because it was really early morning... I would've missed airplane,if they hadn't wake me up. Thanks so much!

December 14, 2011The location was ideal for us - far enough from city to park car but near enough to walk into. The hotel was warm and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed gave me the best nights sleep I've had for ages. Staff were all helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble.
The only small citicism was that the buffet breakfast was a bit limited. However, this is our first time to Iceland and for all we know, this may be the typical local breakfast.

December 9, 2011Very clean simple single room. For 40 eur in Reykjavik , it was a good deal. A little out of the centre, but not far.
The buffet breakfast was a little basic, no hot food at all, no eggs etc. But overall ok for the price paid, wouldnt want to pay any more though.

November 10, 2011Extremely helpful staff - Ingvar from the reception helped to resolve even the problem with a missing passport. Good breakfast without unnecessary excesivness.
Slightly away from the city center, but Reykjavik is too small for this to cause any problems.

November 1, 2011The hotel was clean and well maintained. The hotel was on the whole quiet and relaxing and the room was spacious and comfortable. The free Wi-fi was also very handy, considering I was a business traveller. Furthermore, the staff were friendly and helpful and helped me to book day trip excursions and bus transfers to the airport.
Just occasional noise from children playing and running up and down the corridors some nights.

October 23, 2011Easy to find, always a plus when in a new country/city and quick/efficient welcoming check in. Room was very comfortable & lovely & warm! Good size room, free wifi & had hooks to gang your coats up which is a rarity in hotel rooms. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water!! A little walk, approx 20 mins into town but easy to get onto road out if driving! Breakfast excellent, served in very nice dining room. All in all a fab choice for 2 nights city break.
Limited parking; some metered parking spots so had to pay.

We went during a particularly busy time and it was the only available hotel we could find. It was clean (hugely important to me) and the staff was helpful. There was a resturant in the building with compimentary breakfast. It was a walkable distance to the city center. The lobby design was updated and nice. It seems to be on the hotel circuit and the tours were all able to pick us up at the hotel.
It wasn't that close to the city center, maybe a 25 minute walk, but very direct. It was in an area that's a little deserted but seems pretty safe, anyway. The room was small and I thought the price was high. That being said, Iceland is pretty expensive, in general. If I had to do it again, I would try to get a more central hotel or a less expensive hotel, but I would come back here if I weren't able to get a hotel with a better location or price and I wouldn't be upset.
