August 22, 2011We lost one of suitcases on the flight to Iceland, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful as we tried to resolve the situation with the airline. The breakfast was very good -- an ample selection of hot and cold breakfast items.
The room was a bit small, as was the shower, but overall we liked it very much.

January 3, 2012Cleanness and beautiful rooms, good location near to shopping street and the biggest church, very helpful and friendly staff at the reception for 24hours. Nice breakfast.
No free wi-fi can be used by our own devices, only a computer at 1floor is free to use, a little inconvenience.

August 3, 2011The hotel was in a short distance from the main street in Reykjavik, Laugavegur. Walking 5-10 minutes. Easy to find and park a car. Good breakfast.

July 6, 2011The friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
The room didn't have blackout curtains and it is light almost around the clock. This made it hard to sleep. Very small bathroom and not much room for suitcases.

February 16, 2011Staff helped us organise trips and buses. Room was clean and bigger than I expected with a great view. Breakfast was nice. All in all a good value place to stay- but not spectacular as you would expect for the price.

Small, personal and inexpensive - a big plus for downtown Reykjavik. Staff were very warm and friendly, and fluent in English. Breakfast is hearty and typically Icelandic: serve yourself breads, meats, cheeses, marinated fish, hard-boiled eggs, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, cereals milk, juices and coffee (a very good way to start a busy day!) It was formerly a Red Cross hotel for convalescent patients. Easy walking distance of the city's main shopping streets and city center (museums, galleries). Typical guests are cost-conscious foreign businessmen/women, tourists and Icelanders.
