Hotel description

The award-winning First Hotel Millennium is 200 metres from the main shopping street, Karl Johans gate and 700 metres from Oslo Central Station. The hotel was completely renovated in 2011 and offers free Wi-Fi in all areas.

All the modern and inviting guest rooms have flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms with a bathtub. The top-floor suites have large private terraces.

The in-house restaurant, Bocca, serves pizza, pasta and a variety of snacks and light dishes. A buffet breakfast is served every morning.

One of Norway's best hotels, First Hotel Millennium won a World Travel Award in 2010.

  Located in the very centre of city. 3 min walk to nearest metro station and 5 min walk to central street in downtown. Nice meal for breakfast at restauraunt bocca in the hotel. Dinners italian kitchen from 5 till 10 pm.

  Not 4 stars standard for european hotels, very small rooms, no minibar, no robe, absence of any atmosphere

  We travelled with two small kids, this hotel has family room with reasonable price, excelent location, very helpfull staff and good breakfast.

  I really did enjoy the hotel location (close to the city center & from the ferry boat). The family room was wide & clean & the breakfast was hightly varied & plentiful.

  Very centrally located and within easy walking distance of the Central Railway Station -- but with Tram and Bus stops also just outside the Hotel. Nice feel to the place as soon as you go in - very friendly helpful staff. Our room was a standard twin but more than adequate for our three night stay -- and the included buffet breakfast was both plentiful and of excellent quality.

  Nice bed

  There was water leaking in the bathroom. The temperature of the shower could not be adjusted. Rather poor standard for such an expensive hotel.

  Great city centre hotel. Nice, big room, fantastic bed. Very clean. Great staff. Thanks to its city centre location, there is no shortage of pubs and restaurants within seconds of the hotel, but the hotel's own bar and restaurant are fine if you don't feel like going out. Within easy walking distance of the main railway station, too.

  Breakfast

  Rooms were small, the knob on thermostat was broken, never could get the shower water to cool down from scorching, expensive for what I received.

  I was shocked not to have a mini bar, no water in the room, at the very least. There was also no way to inform the housekeeping staff when you wanted privacy or when they could come and clean the room. The room temperature thermostat did not work properly and the room was too hot. I was overall underwhelmed and not very impressed with the facilities. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and certainly will never stay there again.

  Great location and comfortable rooms with a full bathtub, very rare to find in Norway. Lounge area in lobby and bar comfortable with coffee and iced water all day.

  My reservation wasn't initially found as the month/day of the dates were flipped when transcribed from my reservation. Minor delay and no loss of room quality. The to-go breakfasts were very meek compared with the buffet spread. Also, the weekend hours for breakfast start late ( 8:00 am) and were very full right at the open- many travelers clearly could appreciate an earlier start. Free Wifi a plus, however registering for a wifi provider I'll never use again wasteful.

  The view from 36th floor. The pool on the 26th floor. The location. Calmness and security.

  The squeeky bed, too many heavy persons have slept in it. In a year or two the hotel must have a renovation

  Location is good and the hotel is quiet at night.

  I paid extra for a room upgrade and still I had the following comments: Requested a kingsize bed - I got 2 small singles pushed together which was not satisfactory. Breakfast was ok but had to wait for more milk, more juice etc. People were smoking in the breakfast room and in the reception area. Poor selection of in room tea and coffee, no regular tea and no milk. Limited selection of tv channels
