Perfectly organised by the owner who makes great food too! (On reservation) The village is lovely and from our room we could see the little stream that flows through town. Also go and see the shrine, it has a nice set-up and a great look out over the village. We can highly recommend this place!

ゲストハウスでたらめ荘 has free bikes, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Yamakami. I had a really great time in this place, thanks to Konbu, Michi and Egosan who are amazing hosts. I was looking for a place to stay for a few days to do nothing but rest and this place was perfect. I really felt at home, the living room was my lair. There is a grocery store 15 minutes by walk but to be fair I didnt go there since you can ask Egosan to cook for you (1000 ¥/meal). And let me tell you that he is a great cook. On the first evening he asked me what is my favorite Japanese dish and he made it the following day ! Since I was the only customer during my stay we spend time together, they even bring me with them to go to a good local restaurant and then they surprised me by going to a bakery since I said I wanted to try Japanese dessert. Once again, I had a really great time !

Quite place next to the river and lake. There's also a kind of kitchen. Really confy beds too. The owner really friendly and English speaker. I really suggest if you want to visit hikone castle and relax
