"Very uncomfortable and an altogether unedifying experience" (107276074)

    location

Room too small Poor decorative condition of room Bathroom dirty and broken equipment Low level of security Unclean common areas and lift Lift in poor state of repair and unsafe Maintenance work being carried out on a Saturday evening

"dissapinted with the hotel. Proms were great!" (108051728)

    very good location

both rooms were tatty, and run down with large areas of peeling plaster and mould on the walls and ceiling, not a healthy environment for and asthmatic as my daughter is. The showers were old and the grouting had large black patches, none of my family wanted to use them. Window in one room was broken which meant the noise of the traffic throughout the night was non-stop.

"cheap and cheerful o k for couple of nights but no longer" (108075848)

close to tube and museums large reception area linen clean

rooms too small, we had a double bed in what was clearly a single room the bed was pushed up against a wall you could not walk round it or open the window

"Although the Eden Plaza has one of the best locations for a stay in Kensington, the hotel itself was overpriced, understaffed, undercleaned, and shoddy. It was more akin to a Hostel than a Hotel." (108074479)

    Location was excellent.

Cleanliness was a factor. Facilities were shoddy. No internet, which is essential. No toiletries to speak of. Shower stall was dirty. Television reception was poor. No remote control. Two lightbulbs in the room were non functional.

Comfortable beds and new bathrooms. Breakfast was served in a pleasant area and the variety of food was good.

Requested early check in as I was travelling through the previous night, but not available Room was small but adequate for a short stay.

    "disappointing" (108085618)

a bed to sleep in and five minutes walk from the tube station.

booked via internet had confirmation of a different hotel and then on the day of travel was advised the hotel booked was full. only available hotel was the eden plaza which to be perfectly honest was the worst hotel we have stayed in ever, dirty beyond dirty & small beyond small.

"I would like to have known exactly how far from the RAH it was located and what amenities the room provided i.e. air conditioning, hair dryer." (97085680)

The receptionist was very friendly and pleasant.

The hotel room seriously needed upgrading. The walls were covered in marks and makeup and who knows what. The bathroom ceiling had mold growing all over it. The shower walls had mold as well. All it needed was for some bleach to be sprayed directly on the walls and left to soak. The room needed a paint job. It was a bit warm in the room and could have done with a fan.

We would have complained at the desk on checking out if someone had been there.

"Accommodation, walls dirty, cleaned stain on counterpane of bed, bathroom pokey and old bath, taps and sink. Didn't feel office staff were welcoming or sufficiently well placed to see if guests had arrived. After waiting several minutes we had to call a gentleman from back office who wasn't aware we had arrived and gave impression we had bothered him even though we were the customers. Passable as a cheap accomodation if not too fussy or a back packer wanting to do London at least expense!!" (97155660)

Relatively cheap and good position for underground and Museums and Albert Hall

Grubby walls, old fashioned bathroom, lack of welcoming by office staff

"On the whole the hotel was shabby but the bed was ok and the room was tidied every day. More attention could have been spared to fix things and clean the paintwork and carpets.I did not eat at the hotel as I assumed it would be to the same low standard." (97208788)

It was close to the venue I was attending.

The place was shabby with scuff marks on the walls, carpet and blanket. The mirror was cracked and instead of replacing it the crack had been poorly covered with black electricians tape. There was rust on the metal light fittings in the shower room. Some of the tiles in the shower were cracked and the grouting was dirty. The water was cold at 7 am.

IT WAS A PITY BECAUSE THE HOTEL IS IN A WONDERFUL LOCATION - THE OUTSIDE IS SMART AS IT THE RECEPTION AND IT WOULD ONLY TAKE A LITTLE EMULSION PAINT, BATHROOM TILES ETC TO MAKE THE INTERIOR ACCEPTABLE." (99041660)

THE HOTEL WAS IN A BRILLIAN POSITION FOR VISITING THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL - THAT BEING THE PURPOSE OF MY STAY

THE ROOM, LIFT, STAIRS AND LOBBY ARREA WERE IN A VERY POOR STATE OF DECORATION AND LOOKED QUITE TATTY. ADDITIONALLY THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY SMALL INDEED UPON VIEWING THE ROOM MY FRIEND WISHED TO LEAVE!

I liked the fact it was close to the Albert Hall where the conference was so it was easy to find.

The room was on a very noisy side of the hotel so I woke at 4.30am!!Also the hot water was cold so I could not have a shower.
