    "The hotel location was good, with excellent amenities in the area. The room was fairly spacious, but our room 218 overlooked the front gardens, which meant that the traffic noise was very loud, and without earplugs would have caused me problems sleeping. The room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. Staff were most helpful and friendly, and the breakfast, although basic, was adequate. All in all, the hotel offered good value accomodation for a one night stay, but I dont think I would want to spend any longer - due to traffic noise in bedrooms at front - must remember to ask for a rear bedroom next time."     The location to the London Tube Gloucester Road was excellent, and the restaurants and bars in the area were great. The Hotel room was a good size, and the breakfast was adequate for the price.

    The single glazing at the front of the hotel made night time noisy, but I had read this in other reviews so took my ear plugs with me. Tea making facilities should be available. Cold tap made a terribe banging noise when first turned on - worried to use this during the night.

    "I would reccomend it if the location is essential for you as well as the money you spend. I would not recommend to you if a decent bathroom is important for you. Before arriving, I was considering the idea of booking a summer vacation with my kids, I was with a friend this time, but after I saw the bathroom I changed my mind and I will book with another hotel."     The location was great I knew the area and the hotel, from the outside, because I used to live nearby. The hall was very nice and so are the common bathrooms.

    The bathroom in the room very really tiny, old and not well kept, the shower curtain was old and dirty. You would not like to stay too long in it.

    "Über Internet wurde zweites Kind nicht übermittelt, Möglichkeit ein Zimmer mit Tageslicht in anderem Stockwerk oder gemeinsame Betten zu buchen wäre schön gewesen, wir konnten dann aber nach einer Nacht in ein schönes Zimmer wechseln. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, der Hausmeister reparierte uns den defekten Kinderwagen, die Lage in South Kensington in walking distance zu Knightsbridge, Kingsroad und den Museen und guten Lokalen war hervorragend" (1686837)

    Good value for money in good location

    Could do with re-decoration as very old fashioned and tired. Toilet was loose and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall when I touched it!

    attractive room, comfortable, lovely building, lounge/bar area pleasant, drinks not overpriced! Some reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

    no tea and coffee facilities in room, very noisy with balcony door open and stuffy if shut. Checkin person not very welcoming, when I arrived dripping wet after longish walk!

    "Que era tan difícil contratar algo para unos clientes.. Si por internet doy datos de pago, por qué consta pago directo. Escribo al hotel, no contesta, llamo al hotel y me envian un impreso por fax, lo devuelvo cumplimentado con datos de credit card y los clientes al hacer el check-in tienen problemas.. Vuelvo a hablar por tf. con el hotel, aclaro la situación y me dicen que no cargarán el gasto a los clientes. Pero al hacer el check-out los clientes son obligados a dar su credit card por si Philips (nosotros) no pagamos.. Eso nos deja, como empresa, en una situación vergonzosa ante nuestros clientes. No volveré a contratar los servicios de ese hotel, ni haré más contrataciones por internet cuando sea para clientes." (97103149)

    "Good clean hotel in a good location. Good continental breakfast but can get cooked breakfast charge extra. Instructions on net on location not very good but phoned hotel reception and they gave us directions.     lots, staff friendly but not over friendly, accomadation clean bed comfy

    bath was a little too small for one of the guests but if 5'4 or under its a fine fit, but had a shower but not alot of head room if you are over 6'6.

    I liked the fact that the rooms were interconnecting so my young daughter could have her own little bedroom; this was better than 3 beds in the one room which is what most hotels offer for 3 people.

    The bath was rather small but this was ok and didn't affect my enjoyment of the hotel.

    Traffic noise took a bit of getting used to - double-glazing would have helped ... but we are from the country! Also worth saying that the hotel is not on a main road.

    "Pleasant and helpful staff. Reasonably large room overlooking gardens which meant lots of traffic noise but this is to be expected anywhere in London. Bathrooms old and cramped and room very hot - no thermostat to turndown radiators. Breakfast was an experience not to be repeated- truly awful!     "Excellent location 4 minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station. Good restaurants and cafes very near hotel. Easy walking distance to Harrods, Royal Albert Hall, museums etc. Cooked breakfast available at extra charge but the continental breakfast was more than adequate, cereal juice fruit toast marmalade tea and coffee. No tea making facilities in bedrooms but all drinks available in small comfortable bar at reasonable cost. Free left luggage facilities. Rooms available from 12 noon.     El hotel estaba bien situado, si bien la habitación era pequeña y el cuarto de baño también, aunque estaban muy limpios. Sin embargo el desayuno era muy pobre y me parece que no estaba al nivel del hotel

    Creo que sería necesario que mejoraran el desayuno, nuca he estado en un hotel con un desayuno tan escaso, para eso sería mejor que no lo incluyeran en el precio de la habitación.

    "I thought the previous reviews I read were quite accurate. The hotel is in a great location, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the public spaces are welcoming and comfortable. Our triple room (rear of 1st floor) was spacious and quiet. The sleeping room decor is a dated (pink wallpaper), but the room was very clean. As noted by previous reviews, the beds were quite hard and the bathroom was small. I didn't mind the size of the bathroom because it was very clean, and had both a bath and shower (with great pressure). Also, the breakfast is basic but adequate and the coffee was great.     "The hotel is nicely located in Central London, so a convenient spot for touring the city. But like many London hotels, the rooms are small, pokey, in serious need of updating (e.g., bathrooms), and very expensive compared to North America - you just don't get much for your pounds. I also get the sense that there is a very high turnover of staff, many who spoke only minimal English (although were very pleasant), and don't really know the area or how things are operating."     Modernising the rooms and bathrooms. Better breakfasts - continental was pretty minimal.

    We have stayed at the hotel before so i knew what to expect a very high sandard thoroughly recommend it very friendly and helpful staff at all times

    its a super hotel maybe sometime in the future introduce luncheon and evening meals

    "This hotel is excellent for those that wish to stay in a choice neighborhood, and don't mind the outrageous prices that European hotels for Motel accomodations. Rooms of this quality would be $65-$70/night (approx. 32 pounds), in the USA. However, this seems to be true of most hotels in London. That being said, the common areas are lovely, the staff attentive, but the rooms are small, and in serious need of updating. Be sure to request a room away from the front of the hotel, as my travelling companions had to deal with street noise (had to leave windows open as there is no A/C in room.)     Excellent location, wonderful neighborhood. Easy walk to Tube.

    Quality vs. value. Common areas very nice, rooms sub-par. Towels, linens, bedding very outdated. No clock. No air conditioning.
