    smallest room ive ever stayed in. NO Cooked breakfast available at 7.30 despite being an airport hotel. waited 40 minutes for a room that was booked months in advance. asked for bucket of ice, given a tumbler.

    - very close from train station - friendly staff - clean room - easy internet booking - convenience of having a bar and a restaurant on site

    - average food in the restaurant - very noisy road - even at night - you can hear what's going on in the next room

    "Although the hotel beds were comfortable, the rooms were small and cramped. The facilities were not brilliant. one of the bars was closed and in the other we were unable to get our first choice of drink. One member of our party wanted coffee but was told the coffee machine was broken! Although this hotel was convenient for our purpose, I will not rush to stay here again. " (97573242)

    Comfortable bed.

    Small rooms especially with twin beds. Bathrooms were adequately clean for 1 night but wouldn't have liked to have used them for longer stays. No form of air comditioning. windows had to be open which resulted in hearing the noisy main road outside.

    Was about to write a complaint letter about poor experience - see below

    Cleanliness of bathroom was poor and decor and general appearance of room and hotel was shabby. Very noisy wedding party until 1.00 a.m. kept us and probably others awake. Much too late for that amount of noise in a hotel. Kitchen and restaurant seemed understaffed and service was therefore poor but the staff were working very hard and trying their best.

    The staff in this hotel were excellent, courteous and helpful, apart from one person in the restaurant who was curt and unhelpful, but that one person didnt spoil our overall impression.

    The room was extremely hot, air conditioning would have made all the difference.

    Our original room was small so we upgraded to a larger room which was much better. The radiator in the room was lovely and hot which suited us as it snowed and was very cold the weekend we stayed.

    The door handle kept falling off and the heat control on the swower did not work. The shower was very hot.

    we were early checking in and asked if it was ok to use the car park untill we could check in. the member on staff on duty found us a room so we could make ourselves comfortble.this made a huge difference since we had travelled a long way and the weather was very wet and windy. therefore the actions of this satff member made a big big difference to us..Well done. have recommended this hotel to our friends and family and would not hesitate to book this hotel again.thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good. Availability of late bar.

    Reception staff could be more welcoming. We had a problem checking in as we had only been booked in for 1 night instead of 2, this took a while to sort on the computer.

    "over all, not impressed, would not recommend anyone to stay within. basic costs but lots of competition now in the lower end price market place. car parking is very tight, not a good experience, i had to convince my wife to stay, she wanted to find somewhere else, but I was tired and said we would try it.checked out after first night, unfortunately still paid or second nigh!"     accomodation was clean

    size of room, very small, very oldfurniture and fixings and bed not comfortable. very noisy, we where aware that man u won, so spirits where high and noisy. breakfast cold and greasy foods. left after first night, never stayed second re booked elsewhere.

    Nice enough hotel, clean rooms and adequate facilities. Bar etc all fine, restaurant was where we had a problem see below.

    3 of the group had food poisoning and we reported as well as really poor service from the restaurant. I reported this and was assured someone would come back to me prior to leaving ...... No one did not

    Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, very good food and service

    The only complaint was the noise levels, on the 1st floor we could hear the disco until 1am

    "The rooms are very small and are not represtented well on the photos on the website, however they are clean and tidy. The reception staff were very efficient. Value for money is not great, but it was ok just for one night. I wouldn't stay here again if it was for more than a weekend, but would return for one night as the location for Altrincham town centre is excellent." (97834103)

    The hotel was clean and bright. The location was good.

    The room was very small for the price we paid. There was no hot water in the evening which meant we had to have a cold shower to get ready for our night out. However, there was hot water in the morning.

    The TV was good

    The noise, I could hear other people's TV, bathrooms etc - very unpleasantly. The corridors were noisy too, and the fire doors. There was a hole in the bathroom wall large enough for my arm to fit through, or possibly vermin. The room was uncomfortably small. The design of the bar area was such that as a single woman I decided to stay in my room. Too much glass window!

    Good locatio, close to Manchester airport

    We were given the disabled room, the bed was very hard and the bathroom was a little dirty. The furniture in the room looked like it could do with being replaced.

    we stayed on a one night stay, parking for up to 15 nights and transfers to/from the airport. when I phoned to be picked up at the airport, the receptionist did not know too much about our impending arrival.

    location

    I could not sleep after 3 am as a compressor started up outside my window. The doors let through a lot of noise from the corridor.

    "I couldnt connect to the internet connection in any part of the hotel because nobody could tell me the log-in credentials for guest users. I could not check my emails having been out of the office for 2 days. One of the key elements in looking for a hotel during a business trip is wi-fi access. Although the staff were willing to connect me to a help-line (I felt that they should really be dealing with the provider, not me) they were not supplied with the knowledge to actually solve my problem. The help-line couldn't help either. There was limited access to terrestial T.V. stations - I don't expect to ever have cable/satellite channels in the room but I would think that 1-4 would be standard. I only had BBC one and some other random freeview channels. The shower hose in the bathroom leaked very badly, so the shower was not powerful enough to wash my hair properly and the extractor fan was so loud that I couldn't hear the telephone when the receptionist called my room or someone knocking on my door. On the other hand, the restaurant manager was fantastic. He was courteous, attentive, and made a point of going round to the people dining on their own and engaging them in real conversation rather than empty lip-service. It's a shame he isn't in charge of the whole hotel!" (97951708)

    Paper thin walls. We could hear every sound from adjoining bathrooms and from rooms above us leaving nothing to the imagination! Room 133 was above some part of the hotel where noise disturbance from trolleys being moved & service lifts operating in the early hours of the morning sounded as if a tram had crashed beneath us.

    "A conveniently placed hotel near the end of the Manchester tram system and near restaurants in Altrincham and the motorway system. It is clean and pleasant and works very well. It has a large car park so I was able to check-in early in the morning and park there which avoided having to drive into Manchester." (97973563)

    Bathroom fittings had unsightly gaps around them which really need sorting out, e.g. bath panel.

    the hotel was easy to find, and had some very nice pubs just a 5 minute walk away. The hotel staff were very help full giving us information on transport and offered to book taxis for us(as we were going to a concert).

    The only downside was room service. We were late back to the hotel and had not eaten, we decided to order from the 24 hour room service. We were then told that we were not able to do so as we ad paid cash for the room, and in order to get room service a credit card booking must be made.

    the food was good and it was a clean, well presented central hotel

    that you were unable to buy drinks after time without a credit card (some people do not like to use credit cards) and that breakfast was not included in the rate (even continental would have done
