The Sculthorpe Mill is surrounded by Norfolk countryside, with the cascading River Wensum viewed from every window.

Six newly refurbished en-suite guestrooms all with river views, a non-smoking restaurant and cosy bar areas complete the picture. The hotel does not have a lift.

Weekend breakfast times are from 08:00 to 09:00.

Restaurants and Bars

Sculthorpe Mill has a fine range of wines and Real Ales, and offers bar and à la carte menus for lunch and evening meals. The bar menu includes traditional English dishes, European specials, light snacks and daily specials like 'Pie of the Day'. The à la carte menu features fresh, local, seasonal produce. From Monday to Saturday, lunch is served from 12:00 to 14:15. Sandwiches, soup, cakes, tea and coffee are available from 14:15 to 18:00. The evening dinner menu is served from 18:00 to 21:00. On Sundays, Sunday lunch is served from 12:00 to 16:00. Snacks and lighter meals are available for residents outside these hours.

The Sculthorpe Mill is surrounded by Norfolk countryside and is clearly signposted off the a148, just outside Fakenham, and the village of Sculthorpe is only 20 minutes from the Norfolk coast and 25 miles from the historic city of Norwich. Directions by road: From the North: Take the A17 to Kings Lynn. At Kings Lynn, join the A149 then the A148 to Fakenham. Sculthorpe Mill is clearly signposted just before reaching the village of Sculthorpe and the town of Fakenham. From the South: From the A14, take the A1088 Ixworth turn-off. Follow the A1088 to Thetford, then join the A134 to Mundford. At Mundford, join the A1065 to Swaffham and then Fakenham. At Fakenham, turn left onto the A148. Sculthorpe Mill is signposted shortly after this turning along the A148. By Air: The nearest international airports are Norwich, East Midlands or Stansted, providing a broad selection of scheduled flights across Europe. By Rail: The nearest rail stations are in Kings Lynn or Norwich.
