Hotel Description

This hotel is an authentic Sevillan palace house dating from the 16th century and was carefully restored preserving its charm and character.

This establishment is full of history and the restoration has closely respected the original distribution and detail of this palace house. The establishment has an air of romance and the rooms all have full en suite bathrooms. It is an absolute pleasure to stay here, surrounded by the rich Andalusian heritage. You can stroll through the seductive streets of the Andalusian capital and mix and mingle with the people.

The hotel is situated right in the centre of the town, minutes away from the main cultural attractions and artistic places.

This hotel lies in the historic Jewish quarter of Seville’s central Santa Cruz district, and dates back to the 16th century. Nowadays it provides fine accommodation for those exploring the Andalusian capital.

The building was originally built in 1530 as a house for Señor Alonso de Villafranca, the former butler of the Marquis of Tarifa. The Marquis himself also stayed many times, as he also owned the adjacent Casa de Pilatos - now a tourist attraction. Today the hotel offers typical Sevillian hospitality.

On-site parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis. When full, guests can make use of a nearby car park (fees apply).

Room Details

The rooms are divided into four categories, although each one is architecturally distinct and has been given a special touch in terms of decoration. Some of the rooms have an interior patio, others have a private terrace and others are duplexes.

All of the rooms are exterior with windows that open out to the typical Sevillan interior patio of the house. Such patios are ideal to combat the noise of the street and the heat of summer and are a typical popular architectural feature of North Africa and the South of Spain.

Suite

The Suites are either in the lower floor or on the upper floor and they are between 35 and 55 m2 in area. Some of the suites have cosy bathrooms, incorporated into the room, with a Jacuzzi and some boasts views of the Giralda. All have a separate living room.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have between 30 and 40 m2 floor space, including the bathroom. Antique furnitures and fittings equal those of the Suites Rooms. Some of them are duplex rooms and all of have a separate living room.

Standard Double Room

The standard rooms are approximately 24 m2 in floor area, including the bathroom. Antique furnitures and fittings equal those of the Deluxe, Junior Suites and Suites Rooms. Bathrooms tend to be smaller than in the rest of room categories.

Superior Double Room

The Superior Double Rooms are approximately 30 m2 in floor area. Antique furnitures and fittings equal those of the Junior Suites and Suites. Some of the Deluxe rooms are duplexes and many have separate living room.

Area Information

This hotel is situated in the historic centre of Seville, only a few minutes away from the main cultural attractions of the city. From the hotel you can easily get to the Cathedral, the Casa Pilatos (whose history is intimately linked to that of the hotel), the Reales Alcázares, the Archivo de Indias, the Santa Cruz district, Maria Luisa park and many other charming spots.
