    Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was nice and fresh with an excellent choice. Good spacious room. Handy on-site parking.

    Carpets in room and corridor looked tired and in need of a clean. Although a non smoking room we could smell smoke periodically.

    left jacket in wardrobe; hotel staff extremely helpful in locating lost property and returning my call promptly;

    Workmen scaling in front of building at 8am Sunday morning; noisymachinery; opened curtains to see them staring back at me on the third floor! Perhaps we should have been warned. Dust round curtain tops. Noisy revellers returning at 3am-4am, banging doors, conversing loudly disturbed our sleep.

    Need to check dates on Yogurts. I opened Yogurt to find green mold. (May be they need to be kept cooler). Put me off eating.

    Lovely breakfast ; lovely meals in Restaurant;Lovely pleasant staff;

    Desk staff knew nothing about the Cotswolds - where to go for trips etc. but young man did offer map of Bristol.

    I have emailed the hotel but as yet I haven't had a reply in connection with car parking charges. I was not at all happy about paying £15 car parking charge for using the hotel's car park. It stated on the booking confirmation form that it cost £5 a day to park there. We were only parked in the car park for 12.5 hours overnight on Monday night and 16 hours overnight on Tuesday night making a total of 28 hours. The rest of the time, the car was parked at the studios of Deal or No Deal!!! I think that is an extortionate price to pay for someone who is a guest st the hotel. I did query it at the time and mentioned that my husband was registered disabled but this made no difference.

    Rooms were modern and clean and had a giid range of supplied facilities, mini bar, hair dryer, iron and board.

    The parking situation is terrible. The spaces are ridiculously small and large four by four's take over two spaces. My partner is an excellent driver and very competent at parking but even he found parking stressful particularly after trying to park in one space then having to give up on that space because it was just too small. Eventually he found a space but in order to be able to get out of the car he had to climb over the passenger seat!

    Smooth booking process; polite staff; nice breakfast

    The room key system was out of order on our arrival on 2 August - it took three hours to fix it; the air conditioning in the room was too noisy - it kept us awake at night; the bath towels were too old and were falling apart; shower caps were not provided.

    Hotel reception looked nice

    Rooms dirty and uncared for. Dirty carpets, bathroom not up to a clean standard. Breakfast mediocre, breakfast staff unattentive. Confusion over booking, not remedied very quickly.

    Conveniently positioned for our needs. All staff that we delt with were very pleasant. Room fine for our requirements. Restaurant clean with excellent menus. We will definately come to your hotel when we next have to visit Bristol.

    Check in staff very efficiant and welcoming. Check in took all of 2 mins so very quick, nice decor in room and very spacious, layout of hotel very lovely, location of hotel excellant as only 5 mins walk to shops/cafes etc.

    Air con was not working properly as room was uncomfortably warm at times throughout the night although we had it switched on to the coolest setting (yes the window was closed), also it was a little bit pricey for us for just 1 night.

    Staff very pleasant and helpful, rooms clean, modern and nicely air conditionedThe breakfast was excellent...wish I could have eaten more. Also bar food was also excellent...especially the cheese board with port!!!

    found the pillows too lumpy.....when everything else was so perfect; this just seemed to let down the overall excellence of the place.

    The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable.

    The shower rooms were well appointed, but why no hook to hang a dressing gown on? I think all your showers should have safety handles fitted as standard.

    Big comfortable room. Nice bathroom.

    It was difficult to stay warm in the room. Easter was a bit cold this year and the heating-system didn't react to our attempt to up the temperature and the staff didn't react to our complaints about it.

    "As the focus of our trip was to see a band play locally,the hotel was kinda of the invisible part of the trip. However as these things go you do tend to remember when you have any bad experience and this reflects on the quality of your overall weekend. To put it simply the hotel was not the subject of any negative feedback on the journey home. In fact due to the helpfulness of the staff, the calming nature of the hotel's enviroment it enhanced our overall impression of bristol. To coin a well known phrase it did everything it said on the tin and some. The 'and some' is the little things that stand out, the doors to the toilet, the bar man who served us beer in a friendly way, the ordering of a taxi with a minimum of fuss despite the member of staff clearly doing 3 other things and the quality of the scrambled eggs!"     Unflustered nature of the staff, room was spotless, no request was to small or trvial for the staff to deal with

    it was only one night!!!

    "A slight niggle was that at breakfast the staff were a little on the over-zealous side when it came to taking the plates away. Within five minutes we were asked 4 separate times if we had finished and wanted the plates taken. Would have preferred to be left in peace to complete breakfast at leisure." (97406858)
