"Have driven past this place for years on the way to the ferry for family reunions in Donegal, normally for the midnight ferry after a 6 hr drive - always had an oasis in a desert or port in a storm feel to it, but never stayed. Business takes me this way now and I have stayed on a couple of occasions, would always use this hotel if in the area." (108888385)

very friendly & accommodating host, excellent standard of room, genuinely one of the best stop-overs in my busy schedule.

Not licensed & not a Best Western

Heavy vehicle ferry traffic is a little disturbing at times in front-facing bedroom. This would seem to be a case for treble glazing.

Rooms and facilities were very clean, breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful.

The hotel does lie next to a main road, but during my stay this wasn't particulary busy at night so didn't really notice it.

"We booked this accomodation a an overnight stay on our way to Belfast and would happily return either overnight again or for a longer stay if touring the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only way our stay could have been improved is if they offered a restaurant/ bar for evening meals due to the very limited choice in Stranraer." (97272315)

The room was very comfortable and pleasantly furnished and finished to a high standard - the bathroom particularly. Very good value for money

"When you stay in overnight accommodation there is often a mean side to things. Short cuts to save money for example. We found that this place was there to make your stay as good and ascomfortable as possible and to offer you their best hospitality. We were made to feel welcome not just another person to put up with. We have stayed in various kinds of accommodation and we have often felt we were there under sufference. This is the best place we have stayed at for many a year, and priced very reasonably." (97720279)

Immaculate bedding, great bathroom, a good feel about the accommodation, friendly welcome, fantastic breakfast and easy folk to deal with. If only there were more places like it.

"We had booked this accommodation for a couple of reasons. We were actually on our honeymoon and were looking for somewhere peaceful and scenic. Also, we had planned to take a day trip over to Belfast to visit family so the location was ideal. Between our arrival and departure, we could not have asked for anything more. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and really did make our stay there so enjoyable. We have decided that we will be returning there for our 1st Anniversary." (99554560)

The whole experience of our stay at this location was superb. The staff were so helpful, the accommodation was to a very high standard and we felt very much at home during our stay.
