The White Lion Royal Hotel, built 1752, reopened after extensive renovation to a 4 star Coaching Inn standard. Close to Snowdonia National Park (an area of outstanding natural beauty) and the Lake District of North Wales.

Straddling the A494 Dolgellau road, The White Lion Royal Hotel is ideally situated for touring North and Mid Wales. One would have difficulty finding a location as well situated as the Bala area, the Lake District of North Wales. The hotel has been completely refurbished, bringing it up to 4 star coaching inn standard. The White water rafting centre is nearby, we are one of the closest hotels. We would advise booking a table at the same time as room as restaurant is very popular.

The White Lion Royal Hotel has 26 rooms set within a historic building dating back to 1759. The building is full of character and takes away the hustle and bustle of the 21st century.
The family rooms are airy and spacious and offer good value at reasonable rates.

Routebeschrijving

From the North: Exit the M56 j15 onto the M53 heading south (North Wales). Then join the A55. Exit onto the A5104 towards Corwen. Follow this until you reach the Junction with the A5 (Traffic Lights) Turn right toward Betws y Coed. Take a left at the next set of lights onto the A494 towards Bala. As you go over the bridge enter the high street white lion on your right hand side. From the South: Access the A5 heading towards Holyhead / North Wales. At the second set of traffic lights after the village of Corwen turn Left. Now follow the A494 until you reach Bala. As you go over the bridge head into main high street White Lion is on your right.
