Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel is set in 44 wooded acres among the rich, quiet farmlands of the Golden Vale, only 30 minutes from Shannon Airport.

Located just 1.6 km from Adare, steeped in history, the village is an ideal base from which to explore the mid-west region with ancient churches and many ruins strewn along the banks of the majestic River Maigue. Shopping in Adare is an experience with the streets lined with enchanting thatched cottages, selling crafts, clothes and antiques. Adare is home to fashion designer Michaelina Stacpoole, whose fashions can be viewed in her shop on the main street. Timmy Mac's offers a lively array of traditional Irish music nightly during the summer and at weekends in the off-season. Timmy Mac's has a magnificent cottage garden, complete with waterwheel, thatched gazebo and thatched dining area, a favourite among many for summer barbeques. During the long hot summer days, enjoy a cool pint in the garden where seating is also available should you wish to dine outdoors.
