Sheedys Country House offers a wonderfully idyllic escape on the edge of the Burren. Dating in part from the 17th century, this house has a truly intimate atmosphere.

This is the oldest house in the village of Lisdoonvarna. John and Martina are your hosts at this country inn hotel, where the Sheedy family have welcomed guests for over 300 years. The hotel's location in Lisdoonvarna, halfway between Killarney and Connemara and one hour from Shannon Airport, makes it an ideal base to explore the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Aillwee Caves, Doolin and Lahinch. There is much to do in the Burren and the library is the perfect place for relaxing and planning your day. A warm personal service, with local knowledge of the region, is offered to help make your stay in the area pleasant and refreshing.

John Sheedy's cooking, using local fresh ingredients, has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and the Georgina Campbell - Best Breakfast in Munster 2004 award. Highly recommended by Fodors, the Good Food Guide, the Good Hotel Guide and the New York Times.

Our reputation is based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients. Sheedy's Restaurant has been awarded 2 AA rosettes for food and has won Georgina Campbell's Ireland Best Breakfast in Munster of the Year 2004. It was also the host for 2008, recommended by The New York Times. The restaurant is also recognised very favourably in The Good Food Guide and Fodors Guide has awarded it a star.

• Annuleringen: Bij annulering tot 2 dagen vóór de aankomstdatum worden geen kosten in rekening gebracht. Bij annulering daarna of indien u niet komt opdagen (no-show) wordt de totale reservering in rekening gebracht.

The hotel accepts both, EUR and GBP. The child rate is only applicable for double rooms if sharing with 2 paying adults. All rooms are non-smoking. Please note that the internet is accessible only in our library via hotel-owned laptop.
