The area offers ageless beauty and tranquillity with unspoilt paths and walks where you can really appreciate the beauty of the New Forest. When visiting the Balmer Lawn you can delight in the Forest's changing colour, history and wildlife and in particular, enjoy the famous New Forest ponies and magnificent deer that still have the right of way as they freely graze the surrounding area, including the towns of Brockenhurst and Burley.

Many activities can be enjoyed including, walking, cycling, mountain-biking etc. plus the hotel offers its own extensive leisure facilities, swimming, gym, squash and tennis. The hotel is independently owned and prides itself on offering a friendly atmosphere and excellent service to all its guests.

Beresfords, our restaurant, recognises the flair, skill and dedication of our kitchen brigade. This follows on from when our Head Chef and his team won a national competition at the Hospitality Week exhibition at the NEC in February this year. In the elegant surroundings of the restaurant we are delighted to offer our diners the highest standards of fine food and service with a tempting array of delicious modern English and traditional dishes complemented by our excellent and comprehensive wine list. Wherever possible our dishes are prepared using fresh locally produced food and our menus are designed to mirror the seasons. Booking is advisable, special requests and dietary requirements can be catered for (please let us know in advance of your arrival). Our restaurant can seat up to 90 and we can also provide private dinning facilities for those special occasions and celebrations. In the summer months you can enjoy dinning on our terrace to the front of the hotel for a superb al-fresco experience. Breakfast at the weekend tends to be a relaxed affair with all the delights that you would expect from a historic country house hotel, lunch is served daily and our Sunday lunch represents exceptional value for money.

From the m3 at (j13) join the m27 West towards Bournemouth, at (j1) of the m27 take the a337 to Lyndhurst. Once through Lyndhurst remaining on the a337 signed for Brockenhurst and Lymington the Hotel is 4 miles on your left. Turn left onto the b3055 (Balmer Lawn Road) and into the Hotel's driveway and Car Park. From Southampton (16 Miles 30 Minutes approximate estimates) Take the A35 to Lyndhurst. Once through Lyndhurst remaining on the A337 signed for Brockenhurst and Lymington the Hotel is 4 miles on your left. Turn left onto the B3055 (Balmer Lawn Road) and into the Hotel's driveway and Car Park. From Bournemouth (20 Miles 35 Minutes approximate estimates) Take the A35 from Bournemouth, towards Christchurch, follow the A35 towards Lyndhurst, take the B3055 towards Sway. Once in Sway keep on the B3055 towards Brockenhurst. The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Brockenhurst off the A337. From Salisbury (25 Miles 40 Minutes approximate estimates) Take the A36 from Salisbury to the junction (J2) of the M27. Take the M27 West towards Bournemouth. At (J1) of the M27 take the A337 to Lyndhurst. Once through Lyndhurst remaining on the A337 signed for Brockenhurst and Lymington the Hotel is 4 miles on your left. Turn left onto the B3055 (Balmer Lawn Road) and into the Hotel's driveway and Car Park. From Winchester (35 Miles 60 Minutes approximate estimates) Join the M3 at (J13) join the M27 West towards Bournemouth, at (J1) of the M27 take the A337 to Lyndhurst. By Rail (from London Waterloo 1 Hour 30 Minutes) Brockenhurst Main Line Station is only 1 mile from the Hotel simply turn left on to Lyndhurst Road the A337 and the Hotel will be on your right after approximately 1 mile. Due West from Brockenhurst Station connects Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. Due North Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke and London Waterloo. By Air The two local airports Southampton (Eastleigh) and Bournemouth are both international airports and also offer a wide range of internal flights. The two major International Airports are Gatwick (90 miles) and Heathrow (80 miles).
