This outstanding country house in the New Forest is home to Terrace Restaurant, with its Michelin Star award. The Montagu Arms is an AA Inspectors' Choice hotel, with 3 Red Stars.

The Montague Arms dates back to 1742. It has a cosy, homely character and picturesque gardens. Staff offer excellent customer care and personal service.

Access to Sen Spa Health Club's facilities at the sister hotel, Careys Manor, is included in the rate. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) from the hotel. The Montagu Arms is located close to the M27, Southampton and Bournemouth Airports

Terrace Restaurant overlooks the gardens and serves fine local ingredients that are free-range and organic when possible. Monty's has more informal, home-cooked classic dishes and award-winning Ringwood Real Ales.

Facilities at the Sen Spa include a swimming pool, poolside sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and a state-of-the-art gym. Residents must be older than 16 years to use the health club facilities at Careys Manor.

Restaurants en cafés

Head Chef, Matthew Tomkinson, who previously won the Roux Scholar in 2005, was awarded a Michelin Star for the cuisine served in the Terrace Restaurant in January 2009. An extensive wine list includes organic, unoaked and prestigious wines and champagnes. There is a smart dress code and a polite request for no denim or trainers in the evening.

By Car: From London: - Follow the M3, bypassing Winchester. - Join the M27 westbound, following signs to Bournemouth. - Leave the M27 at junction 2. - Turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326). - Continue along the A326 until Dibden Purlieu. - Turn right at the roundabout onto the B3054 signposted to Beaulieu. - As you enter Beaulieu village, The Montagu Arms Hotel is on your left. - Draw up in front of the hotel and we will be happy to assist you with your luggage.
