Cashel House Hotel, one of Connemara's most gracious mid-19th century country houses, stands at the head of Cashel Bay, set in a 50 acre award winning gardens.

Situated in the heart of Connemara on the west coast of Ireland, the hotel offers you luxury and tranquillity in a delightful atmosphere created by turf, log fires, a friendly and helpful staff, and by tastefully decorated rooms.

Beaches, golf and horse riding are available in the vicinity. The hotel also has its own tennis court and private beach. Guided walks on any of the Twelve Pins and all other areas of the Connemara Coast can be arranged.

Cashel House is also the home of the Connemara Pony & Sport House Stud Farm, where Connemara Ponies are bred and exported all over the world.

Deep sea, salmon and trout fishing are available in Roundstone, Clifden and Cleggan.

Restaurants en cafés

Connemara's hundreds of lakes, rivers and mountain land, as well as the island studded Cashel Bay, combine to provide the selection of sea food, including fresh lobsters, mussels, clams, scallops, salmon, mackerel, brill, turbot and trout. Choice meats and poultry also feature on our menu, including Connemara lamb, Irish beef, venison, quail and guinea fowl, complimented by a wide variety of fresh vegetables from the organic gardens. These are then carefully cooked under the supervision of a skilled team of chefs and served in the welcoming dining room by Ray Doorley and his efficient, personable team. Cashel House's wine list is extensive and provides the perfect accompaniment. A large conservatory extension enhances a well-appointed split-level dining room, which is overseen by members of the McEvilly family. You can choose to dine in the airy, bright conservatory or in the dining room, with its antique tables and numerous original works of art. Breakfast served from 08:15 to 10:00. Lunch served from 12:30 to 14:00. Minimum table d'hóte: EUR 30. Packed lunch: EUR 20. Average a la carte: EUR 8. Dinner served from 19:00 to 20:30. Minimum table d'hóte: EUR 50. Average a la carte: EUR 25.

• Annuleringen: Bij annulering tot 7 dagen vóór de aankomstdatum worden geen kosten in rekening gebracht. Bij annulering buiten deze termijn wordt de eerste overnachting in rekening gebracht. Als u niet komt opdagen (no-show), wordt de totale reservering in rekening gebracht.

By Car (from Galway city): - Follow the signs for Clifden on the N59 through Moycullen, Oughterard, Maam Cross and Recess. - 1.5 miles after Recess, you will see a left turn signposted for Cashel, Carna and the hotel. - After 3 miles on this road, you will see a right turn signposted for the hotel. - The hotel is 1.5 miles further on the right.
