Originally built in the early 1800s, this detached property has now been lovingly restored; today, the house boasts attractive and elegant Georgian-style accommodation, rich in beautiful original period features.

The house was originally constructed as a home for the foundry master of the nearby Coalbrookdale iron works. The house has been sensitively restored by the owners of the nearby Coalbrookdale Inn and now houses 3 beautiful en suite rooms. The rooms have period-style bathrooms, original fireplaces, authentic Georgian coving and high ceilings complete with picture rails. Crystal chandeliers further enhance the historic atmosphere. The rooms are finished in Georgian colours and have far eastern-style carpets and period-style mahogany furniture.

Modern comforts and facilities have been carefully integrated and each room has a brand new TV with freesat TV channels and a built-in DVD player.

With historic beauty and period-style charm alongside contemporary comforts, the Foundry Master's House makes a luxurious base for a relaxing break.

Restaurants en cafés

A full cooked breakfast is included in the price. Guests can either take breakfast at the house or in the nearby Coalbrookdale Inn. The full traditional English breakfast includes smoked bacon, Lincolnshire sausages, fresh tomatoes, baked beans (Heinz, of course), black pudding, mushrooms and eggs cooked according to your preference. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are also available. Tea, coffee and fresh orange juice are available to accompany your breakfast. Decaffeinated coffee and a variety of herbal teas are also available. You can also choose from a selection of cereals and white and brown toast. Vegetarian options are available by prior request. You can also enjoy dinner nearby, at the highly rated Coalbrookdale Inn.

By Car: The house is located on the main Wellington to Ironbridge road, less than 10 minutes from either junction 4 or 6 of the M54 motorway. The house is best accessed from the Ironbridge bypass, either via Wellington Road or Cherry Tree Hill. Following the signs for the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron.
