    WAS LIKE A DHSS HOSTEL TO THE POINT WHERE I ASKED A POLICEMAN IF HE KNEW THE HOTEL AND IT'S REPUTATION. WE WERE AT THE OPEN PRIOR TO OUR STAY AND IF WE HAD BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE HOME WE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED IN THE HOTEL

    Breakfast was hot and there was a good variety to choose from. it was close to the ferry terminal.

    No fresh towels on a 2 night stay No noticeboard for ferry details (particularly when there was a weather warning issued), or to say the owners were out. No way to contact the owners (rang a bell, no answer) Shower pressure non existant Shower temperature changed continually while in the shower hairdryer provided was a retro gimmick because it was the colour of the room decor, it had very little heat power

    "All in all this was a very good stay although I felt it was slightly overpriced but it was new year peak time. In light of the choice available, I probably wouldn't stay in that room again but perhaps if another room was available." (107373410)

    Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast.

    Really it was just that the heating in the room wasn't up to the job. The bathroom was FREEZING.

    "They had our room ready one hour before check-in time so we could go straight away from the ferry. It is a very quiet place, perfect for relaxing. They had a very wide choice for breakfast and the views fron the breakfast room are really impresive!!!" (107209111)

    It is near the ferry terminal and there are pubs and restaurants very close to it

    "On arrival to the hotel we received a nice greeting, were showing to our room and were given useful information on the surroundings, including restuarants that were recommended. We felt very welcome during our stay. The owners were very helpful and always pleasant." (97589536)

    The friendliness of our hosts helped us to relax. Location was wonderful with fantastic views and within easy walking distance of amenities and public transport links (bus and ferry).

    "Arran was a beautiful island. Our accomodation was good and the owners introduced us to all the other guests which broke the ice and everyone chatted at breakfast time. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this guest house." (3304586457)

    the people who owned and run the hotel were very friendly and accommodating and the breaksfast was fabulous!
