    Light bulbs didn't work. Air con/heating controls held together with sticky tape and masking tape, door support held together with masking tape. Some other guests glasses still in the room when I went in.

    Friendly, obliging staff, clean, nice room, very good value for money.

    The online booking process was fine but when I arrived, the hotel said payment had not been processed so they wanted me to pay on the spot. No internet vouchers (hotel had run out) but they let me use a computer in their office to get my emails. This was frustrating.

    High standard of decor. Beds very comfortable,. Staff very friendly and helpful with ideas for things to do in the city.

    Location for walking into town -distance was okay. Temperature of water in shower was a bit cool for some of our party.

    Staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Food was quickly served, nice, and hot. The room was immaculate and the whole place gave a sense of everything being spot on and well thought through.

    "Welcome was friendly, the food in the restaurant was good and varied, service was polite and efficient. Room was larger than in most similar hotels, with plenty of space in all areas.     "The Park Avenue is a great hotel close enough to the centre of Belfast to be convenient but without any of the downsides of a centre hotel (car parking, impersonality, cost, etc.) It is a jolly hotel with friendly accommodating staff and facilities. The Griffon restaurant was very good (but it could do with a house Merlot - despite having a good wine list!) We were pleasantly surprised by Gelston's Bar, for its decor, bar food and drinks. We enjoyed our stay very much." (97160687)

    It was very comfortable.

    The flow of water in our bathroom (both hot and cold) was rather slow!

    The beds were comfortable and linen was crisp.

    The room was extremely hot and the window could not be opened. The bolt on the door was not working and there were quite a few sinister looking stains on the carpet.

    "My stay was pretty average. Nothing spectacularly good or bad. I wuld like to have known just how far away it was from the town, as I would have liked to sample more of the nightlife. (Loved a restaurant called Vaudeville Cafe on Arthur Street! Amazing building!) There seemed to be some parking, and it wouldn't be hard to find from the City Airport if yopu were in a hire car. My window was above the bottle bin, and hence several HUGE crashes each evening. The buses were twice an hour during the day, and once an hour in the evening. Although non smoking, my room had the decor of a smoking room, with lots of yellowy shades. Perhaps it was just old. The bed was VERY hard, just one mattress, not a divan, so don't sit down too heavily! The journey to town takes about 20 minutes, and drops you right next to the City Hall. It does however take you passed lots of terraced houses hung with union jacks, which is a little un-nerving. Generally, everyone I came into contact with was polite and kind, and I would definately come again. I would probably pick a hotel nearer the centre so I could explore on foot." (3305229454)

    Close to the Airport, on site restaurant and bar, quiet surroundings Evening meal was ok, so was breakfast. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was well sized.

    Further out of the city centre than expected, not walking distance.

    The accommodation (room) was lovely, the only fault we had was the shower, there was nwver good pressure or enough hot water for all three of us to adequetly shower. Apart from that everything was excellant and we are arranging to bring a bigger group in oct / nov 06, because we were very impressed with both staff and accommodation.

    Excellent accommodation nothing could be faulted

    It would have been nice if the bar meals could have been served till a later time as 7.00pm was a little too early when you have been out and about all day.

    "I would of liked to of known that the hotel was on a very busy road bec ause it was very noisey and it was fvery hard to get in and out of the hotel because of the traffic going up and down the road. I would of also of liked to of know that you couldn't get drinks deliverdy to our room, because we had to keep going and and we couldn't relax together." (3304047672)

    It was very clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasent to talk to very helpful.

    The heating as it was far to warm in the bedroom it made you feel sick. The fire doors next to the bedrooms are very noisey because they bang onto the bedroom and wake you up.

    The room was a good size, clean and also quiet. All staff were polite friendly and very helpful

    As someone who can't eat wheat and some other allergie foods the breakfast buffy could have had more choice of fresh fruit, cheese etc. I hadn't informed staff about this because I normally have enough choice at breakfast buffys to fill up on.

    "Dont expect too much from the restaurant, food wise - its pubfood at double the price!! Waiters are very nice though! Eat at the pub instead it has a nice atmosphere. Otherwise it is a nice clean roomy hotel with friendly staff. And I would stay again." (2108719)
