    Lovely hotel and very helpful and polite staff

    No brochure in room to indicate facilities. I was advised of the incorrect breakfast times and therefore arrived after breakfast was finished. However the staff were polite and helpful and supplied a full breakfast.

    Generally staff were helpful and polite. Food was plentiful

    Stair handrail is unsafe for older people. My bed was very uncomfortable because it was broken. The Caleidh was not set up for participation.

    Refurbishment of bedrooms was welcome. Location ideal for Loch Lomond. Staff always efficient, friendly and polite. Beds very comfortable.

    Parking sometimes inadequate. Toilet wasn't cleaned daily. Only supplied one hand towel for a family room- same applied in a double room last year! Bedside light was broken.

    comfortable and welcoming

    shower height set for rather small people and non-adjustable for taller ones (i.e. 5'5" and over) Lighting over hand basin leaves one side of face in shadow - makes wet shaving difficult. Corridor lights go off too quickly to allow locking of bedroom door.

    "I had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay." (107691905)

    The staff were pleasant, cheerful, professional and attentive. The decor was very good. Recent refurb I think? The whole place was very clean. Breakfast was relaxed and tasty.

    On booking-in; the hotel said that they had no information on their system about me (ie I was not booked). Luckily I had my computer-printed confirmation. The receptionist was very charming and professional, and assured me that there would be no problem, and not to worry, as they did have a few rooms left anyway that night. They honoured the terms of my confirmation, although they said that they had never heard of active hotels. The hotel was a little over-warm for my taste.

    "This the second time we have visited the Winnoch Hotel and the three hour journey from Newcastle Upon Tyne is well worth the weekend. Also we took another couple this time who had a fantastic weekend also ." (107507739)

    The relaxed atmophere is fab with the freindly staff and great food also. All in all a very clean comfertable Hotel. Also is great value for money.

    I cannot find any fault at all on the Hotel

    "throughly enjoyable, good Scottish hospitality, we were in room 35,which was nicely decorated and furnished. The food was of a very high standard and the waitresses were very friendly and professional. Would definately go back to this hotel, the location was wonderful. " (97651635)

    excellent value for money, normally we only stay in 5 star, but this hotel was the nearest to our son's wedding venue and we were not disappointed with the hotel, food and service was first class, would recommend this to anyone, despit e the comments on trip advisor.

    the only downside was the toilet seat that was loose, but was useable and a few more toiletries in the en-suite would have been nice, having to share a bottle of bubble bath for 2 nights was not acceptable.

    Didn't know Drymen, not having been before, but Hotel was a nice surprise, liked history and position.

    Think only problem was the long walk to find our rooms

    The staff and the food

    Room was miniature, carpet was filthy,window was prehistoric with a window sash weight rope broken.

    "Overall an enjoyable stay.Staff were efficient especially the restaurant staff who were very patient in dealing with a table of 8 of us who lingered over our enjoyable meal when the rest of the customers had long gone.Rooms were well decorated and looked to be newly refurbished, especially the bathrooms.Two of our rooms however had windows that wouldn't shut which would obviously present a problem in colder weather.Comfortable seating areas downstairs."     "Lovely hotel, we had the 4 poster bedroom and it was very nice, allthough the shower was a bit eratic. I would definately stay again and possible longer. The Hotel catered for all our needs. We ate lunch in the hotel which we all enjoyed and breakfast the following day was of good quality, the room was extremely warm but the weather was very humid. One minor point was that the menu said tea and coffee would be brought to our table but we had to serve ourselves. Personnaly I prefer to be waited on when I am staying in hotels (its the whole point of getting away!). All in all a very enjoyable stay and we are already speaking about going back." (99815513)

    We had a great weekend, the hotel was lovely and catered for all our needs.

    The shower was eratic hot and cold, for my husband mainly cold and water sprayed all over the bathroom.

    Nice rooms and enviroment

    One of the male bar-attendant/keeper was really rude. He had poor communications with both costumers and other staff members. He made the stay not very pleasant.

    "the hotel appears to have been developed ie the number of rooms is greater than our original visit... however, the breakfast room has not increased therefore a wait is necessary for tables to become available, although staff are very polite and thankyou for waiting such a wait is not necessary in other hotels."
