    we ordered an evening meal which took a very long time so we contacted reception. the order had not been put through to the kitchen. the receptionist was excellent and gave us a free drink and a discount. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows

    On leaving, we went to reception to pay the bill. We queried 2 items on the bill and apparently they had been put on the wrong bill. Ammount deducted but no apology given!!!!!!!!!

    Excellent room, clean and very comfortable. Attentive, helpful and thoroughly professional staff.

    Very popular as a wedding reception venue and sometimes wedding guests can be wee bit lively!

    Room spotlessly clean in every way with many additional extras. Great Bathroom facicilities with all necessary soaps & towels etc. Very + a packet of bisscuits

    Only one plug for the hospitality kettle to boil the water - it was unc=der the dressingtable - had to crawl on the floor to put the kettle on! A minor quibble when all ealse was so good.

    The hotel is well situated for shopping, The staff very friendly and helpful,The food is very good & plentyful.

    The hotel is very dated it could do with a up grade (decorating up grading the bedroom furnisings) I believe the star rating should be 2 star plus, the room is classed as superior which is not the case,Travel inn rooms are much more superior and cheaper.

    Quiet

    Cleanliness, the shower screen was filthy and had a thick scum onit. Room furniture was shabby and discoloured. Terrible musty smell in our room that convinced us the room had flood damage but it turned out to be a leaking shower. The other room was ok but definitely not 4 star standard. Didn't bother to complain as we presumed that this was the reason for the room price. Couldn't recommend it but the staff were friendly.

    "In general the hotel is well maintained, clean and the staff are friendly. I have stayed there three times now and on two occasions the lights over the bathroom mirror have not worked - but in gereral the rooms are very well equipped, bathrooms have been lovely.     Good accommodation

    21.00 is a litle early for the restaurant to close. We flew over ready for a meeting the following day and only arrived at just before 20.30 so 21.00 was a bit early

    The staff were friendly and helpfull. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was spotless.

    More seating in the bar area.

    "Room was of a high standard only problem was the traffic noise from a very busy road outside, if you wanted some fresh air the open window did not stop the noise. Map and directions on the website could have been better. Food in both the restaurant and the bar were excellent. Staff friendly, efficient and helpful." (2490045)

    "The hotel was close to the centre of Derry just after the Craigavon Bridge. There was a bus stop just outside the hotel and a taxi to the centre of town cost about £3.50. The hotel had a restaurant and a bar that served food throughout the day - these were a bit expensive though. Breakfast was good with a range of continental and traditional Ulster fry available. The room was very spacious (we got a room with a double bed and a spare single bed). There was a TV, a CD-radio, a trouser press and coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom was lovely and looked as if it had recently been refurbished. There was a bath and a seperate walk in shower. The only thing was that the hotel was on a main road and it was noisy with the window open. I hate sleeping with the window closed but it was necessary to block out the noise." (2582227)

    It was spacious and the bathroom was modern and clean.

    There was no-one on the door at checking in and only one person on reception so we had to wait a while. Also the noise of the main road adjacent to the hotel could be heard even with the windows closed.

    Hotel is ideal for touring in the north west of Northern Ireland

    The food was excellent and the room was good, prehaps help could be given with luggage

    Spacious and clean room, beautiful dining area, helpful and friendly staff all around.

    Air conditioning in room. Night time room service menu could have a wider variety.

It took about 25 - 30 minutes to walk to the city centre, and there was no place to go near the hotel except the hotel bar and restaurant . having said that the food and service in the hotel restaurant were excellent (far too much to eat!) and the bar was very good for a hotel bar."     Located in Waterside. Too far from the city centre and no pubs/restaurants in the vicinity.

    Even though I had ordered a smoking room, the room did not have a smoke smell. It was very fresh and immaculately clean.

    "Would have liked the option when booking to say I didn't want an adjoining room - as they are not usually noise-proof. We were visiting friends and arrived back late, so did not appreciate cleaning staff knocking on door in morning when we were sleeping to see if room was occupied, nor their noisy conversations through the door. Other than that, staff were helpful, friendly and chatty. Very reasonably priced room service food which was well cooked and generous. Reasonable sized room and nice bathroom toiletries." (1311009)
